    I think not everything in the article is entirely accurate, certainly not to the known facts (it cites Indy 5 as the 50th collaboration between Spielberg and Williams), and possibly not to what Williams actually said, either. I wouldn't count on Lisbon and Singapore actually being a thing in this way - perhaps there are concerts with his music scheduled there, but without him personally?

    Let's hope the Ax piano concerto is a fact.

    @BB-8,
    It's not a direct quote, but, yes, it does sound a lot like Crown Imperial, and so does the tertiary theme in the Main Title from SUPERMAN.

    This is a rescheduling of a concert from April 2020. There's no webpage for it yet, but I just got an email allowing me to grab the same tickets I had for the April 2020 concert.

    Today I took the shrinkwrap off and listened to my physical copy of the album, also my first time hearing any of the album at all.

    I have now seen Violin Concerto #2 performed live twice, once at it's Tanglewood debut and then again in New York City earlier this year.  Both times I found it hard to appreciate the music too much, since there was so much else going on all around me and the exciting of attending another live film music concert override any analytical thoughts in my head.

    This time with only the audio to listen to and no other baggage, I found myself appreciating the concerto on another level.  The fact that it is broken up into 4 tracks and I could see when each movement began and ended was nice too.  This is a nice work that I am sure I will continue to appreciate more and more in the coming years

    The Theme from The Long Goodbye was super fun!  Having recently finally seen the movie, I've kind of had the main theme stuck in my head ever since, so it was nice to hear a new and fresh adaptation of that beyond all the ones in the movie / Quartet CD.

    Han Solo and the Princess is always nice, and I really like this new re-arrangement of the re-arrangement.  Good stuff.

    Marion's Theme is really nice too!

    I love that the booklet contains a fairly lengthy essay by Williams himself, and the additional essay by Richard Kirzinger was appreciated as well.

    Overall, a very nice album!

    JW is probably familiar with the English pastoral and religioso styles of RVW.

    I wouldn't say this is a direct quotation but it comes close to a certain musical idiom which fits perfectly to the movie's bucolic/pastoral opening to describe a peaceful yet illusive atmosphere just before the outbreak of war.

    RVW's Tallis Fantasia was first performed in 1910.
