  1. This recording just feels more alive than TFA to me. TFA sounded dark and this feels more open. I really like the TFA score, but just the recording feels so much different. I'm sorry if I'm not articulating well, but that's what I'm hearing.
  2. This is probably my favorite bit of Star Wars music from 5:02-5:35:
  3. Others have said this, but I think it's INCREDIBLY difficult to talk about a new score when considering it in some ways against or alongside music that you've lived with for 40 years. It's easy to think of themes we've lived that long with as "hummable", but I'm not sure that anyone was walking out of the theaters then and humming them right away.
  4. In fairness though, we had original John Williams music for the film in some of the trailers. We heard a brief bit of Jedi Steps in an international trailer. This time around I don't get the sense that we've heard any actual music from TLJ.
