I'm gonna be real disappointed if the 60's theme isn't used throughout the movie. It's a great melody (that is very Spider-Man-y, unlike the Horner and Zimmer efforts).  and Giacchino killed it in the he posted.

Yeah it's a pretty stupid selection.  Small Soldiers?  Gremlins 1 and 2?  No Planet of the Apes? No Sand Pebbles?  The Goldsmith fans who seem to only care about his scores for trashy 80s and 90s movies are so weird.

My favorite moment in the entire score because it's so brief.  It's the only time in the entire film Kane is allowed to be uncomplicatedly happy and the music reflects that.  It lasts only a few seconds, like Herrmann is teasing us with a bit from an entirely different, more bucolic score.

I sorta felt like if anything Collins would pander to him a little too much sometimes. Like he'd just throw him uninteresting softball questions to try and involve him. It'd go like "*plays Yoda's Theme* hey now do you recognize that one Jimmy?? Think, Jimmy, think! You can do it, Jimmy!" and Jimmy goes "Ooh ohh, hmm, well it's from Empire!" and David goes "Okay yes that's EXACTLY right, it's Yoda's Theme!" and Jimmy goes "Wow, WOW, you just blew my mind right there! You know, David, I have to tell you, every episode I wait for the incredible EARTH-SHATTERING revelation and you just did it again right there, my friend! You did it again. I am in awe!"
 
But I didn't usually feel like Jimmy himself was a terrible nuisance, he's fairly likable and generally stayed out of the way whenever Collins was on a roll, but I agree it would have been better to have another musician on there. On the other hand I guess Jimmy's presence often forced Collins to find layman explanations for things.

I know many here at JWFan agree that Star Wars Oxygen would be so much better without the presence of the odious Jimmy Mac.
 
Well, I just discovered this Youtube channel yesterday where someone is going through episodes and editing Jimmy Mac out of the podcast and calling it "Pure Oxygen"  
 
They only just started uploading this week and I don't even know if they're planning on continuing, but it's still pretty funny

I think it's hilarious.

Both Lincoln and Bridge of Spies are among my favorite Spielberg movies, so yeah, I'm excited for this one.
