  1. Victory Celebration is not a song! Indeed! It should be replaced with "Jedi Rocks". fsb, who still hasn't seen Superman yet
  2. At first glance, this looked like a Beatles thread. fsb
  3. What about those who haven't bought the movies in any format, since the only DVD versions available are full of cinematic revisionism? fsb
  4. Sounds great. I love "the making of"-type books and videos. Unfortunately, some people think otherwise: I asked my parents for The Making of Star Wars for Christmas last year, and one day during the break I overheard my mother saying that it was something I needed to grow out of. One of the most insulting things anyone has said about me, I think. fsb, who fails to see how learning about landmark films is something that one needs to "grow out of"
  5. Huh, I had no idea about AI. I, too, possess two x-chromosomes. I enjoy reading the discussions here so much that I forget to speak up about anything, haha. And now I will try... The Rite of Spring, Scheherazade, and Das Rheingold all feature bbunsoon solos. (edit: wow!) fsb, who doesn't really understand the issue others of the female persuasion have with putting down the toilet seat
  6. I thought the line about breaking Mac's nose fell flat. fsb
  7. I always figured that Indy figured that you weren't supposed to look at the king (in this case, God), as they do in some cultures. Like, keeping your head bowed in the ruler's presence and whatnot. What is this cut scene you speak of? fsb
  8. Well, Shankara was a real guy. I think the stones are just a fabrication of the filmmakers based on Hindu myths and legends, but if anyone better-versed in this subject knows better, feel free to correct me. fsb
  9. Raiders and LC are about items that feature in actual legends, and very well could have existed (and possibly still exist). The crystal skulls are a modern find, and there are no stories concerning them. They are more of a New Age-y sort of thing. fsb
  10. I agree, though I take issue with inclusion of the scene at all fsb, who wishes a shot of the .
  11. Good one! Sucker! Dig up, stupid. Peter - who can scarcely believe the irony and audacity of Josh telling people what does and doesn't matter, considering the majority of his polls/threads. It seems to matter a lot, considering how many times he came back to say that. fsb
  12. Yes, I do love that track, but it has been ruined for me ever since I watched TPM for the first time in a while two years ago. It was during that viewing that I started to notice all of the tracked music, and there's that favorite part of mine hacked into the Gungan Battle... ugh. I can't think of the piece without also hearing that awful bouncing blue energy balls. I don't have my mp3 player handy, so I can't provide the track time, but in the film it is the part where Jar Jar tries to hide under that chariot, hence the godawful sound effects. fsb
  13. How is it a stupid idea? Mola Ram (the main villain) doesn't appear until a full hour into the movie. It would have added so much to the story to see him sitting at the banquet debating with Indy about the village stories and by the end of the movie have them both hanging off of the rope bridge fighting to the death. The look Chattar Lal gives the maharajah would be so much better coming from Mola, the man in charge, instead of somebody under the black sleep. I agree. In fact, for the longest time, I was under the impression that they were the same character. Then I realized that wasn't the case. fsb
  14. They could have made question 5 a little more challenging. The one on ESB's opening. fsb
