  1. Thanks! I won't be leaving for quite along time, probably not until I retire, maybe not, I don't know
  2. This. John Williams speaks for himself. If it was composed by John Williams, it is worth adding to your collection.
  3. The FYC is in LA right now, with estimated delivery date between the 15th and the 22nd! So exciting.
  4. I'll make a breakdown of differences and variations between the SE/PT CDs and the New CDs, if there is anything to note. My CDs arrive on Monday.
  5. I don't know why it took me this long to make an account here. I've been visiting for well over a year now, haha. Well, I try my best. Being happy and an active part of the community is what I do best. Yeah, see, I can't stand worrying about that sort of thing every single day haha
  6. Also I absolutely love Lord of the Rings so why wouldn't I want to live in New Zealand? ;P can live like a hobbit with my music. Sounds like a perfect life. Bidding on ebay FYCs out of my little hobbit hole.
  7. Australia is deadly. Also new Zealand is 60-70F right now. Where I live it's 32-40F. So it's an improvement. I want to move there for the mountains. And for the culture.
  8. And yet I actually want to move away. I don't want to live in Canada anymore or at least not in BC. I want to move to New Zealand.
  9. I don't know, I couldn't find the right words to use, I'd call it something else, since dubstep isn't really an original concept, Zimmer didn't pioneer dubstep, I guess, is how I am seeing it.
  10. A deluxe edition with even more music than the FYC would be nice. That way we can edit them two together and have a more complet set. That 14 minute stretch of unknown/missing audio between "Han and Leia Discuss Kylo" and "Group Enters Base" is gonna drive me crazy when I listen to the score chronologically. Having seen the film so many times, I can almsot hear the whole thing in my head. And it's like, that whole emotional experience with Rey, it's just missing, uhg. For what it is, though, the current album presents a beautiful, moving architecture of music from the film. It's got all the main themes including some concert suites. It rises, and it falls, and with "Jedi Steps" it really brings out my emotional side.
  11. I've been breaking it down, comparing it, organizing it, and listining to it since the early hours of this morning. The more I listen to the digital remasters for the original trilogy the more I fall in love with it. It's like rediscovering something I didn't know I really really missed.
  12. Thanks for sharing this! I was transcribing my own sheets but this will make things a lot easier for my future piano ventures. For a second I thought this thread was about the sessions sheets. Hah..hah...
  13. Everyone will have a different opinion, but I apprecaite Williams' experience and methods of musical intonation and creation way more than Zimmer's. Williams is a pioneer whereas Zimmer is... well, I don't really know what to call Zimmer anymore after the upset of Dubstep in TASM2. I really liked Interstellar, though. But Williams will always be my favourite <3
  14. I lvoe all of the new themes from TFA, especially the new character themes. Williams wrote some beautiful new melodies and still managed to tie-in original Star Wars material like the Force Theme and little tidbits from other Star Wars scores. The theme for the bad guys is a little underwhelming but I actually appreciate that because the whole Emo Kylo Ren scenario really fits in with the upcoming generation of teenagers, don't you think? He's a big cry-baby. Rey's theme, though, man, I could listen to it forever. It's beautiful. I can seriously relate to that piece of music.
  15. It was the only scored I fell immediately in love with this year so, I hope it wins!
  16. Our new Prime Minister was recently elected. We booted out the Satan guy known as Steven Harper. Here's our new Prime Minister. I am proud to own and to wear this hoodie because Justin Trudeau is basically the best thing that ever happened to Canada in terms of politics I have often wondered about this. Like, with all the FYCs being sold, and with nothing being done about it, it doesn't seem like the Academy really cares all that much. It says on the back of most FYCs that it must be returned to the company upon request. The scariest one I've seen was on the FYC for How to Train Your Dragon 2.. "This CD is property of DreamWorks Animation, L.L.C. and is loaned to you, under license, for your personal consideration only during this awards season ending on February 22, 2015. It may be DIGITALLY WATERMARKED and TRACEABLE to YOU. Do not copy, upload to the internet, or publicly perform it. Do not loan, rent, sell, or give away. Unauthorized use may be prosecuted. DreamWorks Animation, L.L.C. reserves the right to require return of the CD album at any time."
  17. Everything eh'? I read that it was only bad if you posted about where to get it I can confirm this is accurate.
  18. Sharing rare and unreleased stuff is absolutely my favourite thing to do especially with people who I know will appreciate it (:
  19. No problem. I can't do it often but sometimes things like these, I love to pay a lot of money for them and then share them, it's kinda what I do $400 so everyone can enjoy a lossless and expanded soundtrack to an iconic movie? Worth it.
  20. There will be a perfect flac rip because I am going to make one and share it as I intended to from the start.
  21. The digital version of the the prequel trilogy seems identical to its original CD counterparts, down to the waveform.
