What is happening with JW and his Star Wars Finales? TLJ's Finale was already pretty bad, specially the OST version. The film version was more coherent at least, much because they tracked a lot with The Rebellion is Reborn. For some reason, instead of writing a full end titles suite, JW just recorded the opening fanfare, Rose's theme, Leia's tribute on piano and the ending, with Rey's theme on piano again, leaving the rest of the credits to be tracked with some other material.
Now, for TROS, apparently the same thing happened again? He recorded some stuff and then handle it to the music editors to create the credits combining it with other cues? Weird.
Same here !

The Final, is unoriginal and for the first time ever the main title is also on the end titles (!!!)I sincerely hope there is an alternate end titles....

Some guy on reddit says he was part of the sessions. Anyone with a reddit account should message him and see if they can get any goss on the score. Even if it's just a casual question like how the score compares to TFA/TLJ. Or if that Anthony Daniels music is legit new material from TROS.
Ouuuups, we forgot to push on the recording button, might comeback next week for another sessions

Do you think the Ewoks will return to kick the bottom of the new order troups ?

And he said, "I know. But they're all dead." (LAUGHS) So, I went on to become the "live composer." (LAUGHS)
SMITH: That's a lovely story. (LAUGHS)
WILLIAMS: I love to tell that story.
This story ...Jerry Goldsmith was alive on 1993

So... the music is getting more complex;
lots of themes return in subtle and interesting ways
there are going to be 135 minutes of music, with the film plausibly clocking at 2h 15min / 2h 20min
and so far only 34 have been recorded, over 4 days (8,5min/day) - but possibly he does not count the session in June
Nice to have the things that so far have been only expected confirmed "on paper"
I really hope it will be subtle , and not as in TLJ where we heard the concert piece of Yoda and Leia ...

A thought to ponder: What if Monsignor score was tracked to The Godfather? Would it work?
And ... La Strada !!!

I wish the "Forgotten Vows" track sounds now without its problems at : 00:07 , 00:24, 01:16...

John Williams: “You really need a better composer for this film.”
Steven Spielberg: “I know, but half of them are dead.”
A shame as Jerry was around ...

The Maestro conducted Theme from Schindler’s List, with special guest Itzhak Perlman, a surprise to myself and everyone. After that, he shared his anecdote about seeing the film for the first time with Steven Spielberg. It is still funny every time he shares that.
That irritates me anytime, since Jerry Goldsmith was still alive around on 1993

R.I.P Maestro Previn, I cherish the Strauss, Debussy, Prokofiev and Vaughan Williams recordings

Definitely! The complete score followed by a remastered OST followed by alternates. That should fill up two CDs quite nicely
Composer Laurie Johnson passed away at 95

I got both Varese Sarabande and Unicorn Kanchana, I believe there are two versions of the recording, the Unicorn Kanchana is more dry to my ears .
