  1. No soundtrack?! In the immortal words of Anakin Skywalker, “This is outrageous!”
  2. I don't think I've listened to a CD outside of my car in more than 10 years
  3. Now Elfman's previous song titled "Happy" showed up in my Youtube recs
  4. I don't care at all about reviews of new releases, but I have enjoyed in the past reading Broxton's reviews of classic scores I already love.
  5. I am a huge Bowie fan and I couldn't be less interested in this.
  6. I agree it's a really fun song. And lyrically a really great summation of what the pandemic has felt like.
  7. Yooooo what is this???? New solo Elfman pop song? Was there an announcement I missed? It just randomly showed up in my Youtube recs. It's a pretty interesting song too. It's nice to hear that impish weirdo energy from him again! The lyrics are very relatable
  8. I love the Bon Scott albums. They made one classic with Brian Johnson and have just been rehashing since with every album more pointless than the last.
  9. The composer and pianist Timo Andres today released his piano transcription of Stravinsky's Symphonies of Wind Instruments, one of my favorite Stravinsky pieces. He also wrote a nice little blog entry about the piece here: https://www.andres.com/2020/10/28/symphonies-of-centenarians/
  10. I agree here @Sweeping Strings. You really should give In Rainbows a shot. You might find a lot to like!
  11. People forget about the concert works for these things! 2003 wouldn't be in consideration at all if you only thought of film scores but it did include two great concert works: the Horn Concerto and Soundings
  12. This wouldn't be my pick but I'm putting in a word for 1996 as a personal favorite: Trumpet Concerto Summon the Heroes Sleepers
  13. EAC is not available for Mac as far as I'm aware. I use XLD and haven't had any issues.
  14. Guess I'm not most people. I hate reading in dark mode.
  15. In the realm of small completely insignificant gripes, I'm not a big fan of the avatars being smaller than pre-update. Of course if that's what it takes to display properly, it's worth it.
  16. I die on the hill of light mode being far preferable to dark in all contexts (websites, phone apps, etc.)
  17. Yes, it's really not surprising at all when these pop music iconoclasts don't care for John Williams
  18. I would rank both Kid A and In Rainbows above those two! Hail to the Thief is very underrated as well. But I have to admit they haven't been a Great Band since In Rainbows.
