  1. There is none and I refuse to see any of them. I watched the first 15 minutes of Jungle Book before I turned it off in disgust. Haven't and won't see Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast.
  2. Everybody but Richard knows that doesn't count! In seriousness, that's true and I'd forgotten. It's someone who wrote one story for Sylvester McCoy era DW.
  3. The Spider-man game looks very cool. I only play 1-3 PS4 games a year, that will definitely be one of them next year. There's a difference between trailers and gameplay demos. I've posted a couple of videos of gameplay demos for games I'm interested in that others might be too. Obviously, Jay is the main other person around here who's as big a Nintendo fan as I am but you never know! There might be others! Basically, this isn't a thread just for you.
  4. Watching a demo of Splatoon 2 single-player on Treehouse Live right now. This looks really fun, can't wait to get it next month. Sidenote, I watched the live chat on the Youtube Treehouse stream for about 30 seconds and it was like staring directly into the Untempered Schism.
  5. Jeeeeesus I need this game in my life. I got a fever! The only cure is Mario Odyssey! This looks fantastic
  6. New Queens of the Stone Age song! New album out on August 25th!
  7. Yes! Still my sentimental pick for favorite Zimmer score.
  8. I actually really enjoyed his Mad Max score because I thought the intensity of that film was perfect for his style. But I didn't think it worked well for BvS or Deadpool. Those are the only three of his that I'm familiar with.
  9. I'm trying not to get my hopes up in that regard. Kennedy seems to really like Trevorrow.
  10. Ah, but 2017 Elfman is a very different, less interesting composer from 1992 Elfman. I did enjoy his work on Ultron but he's a long time past his glory years. Just because you're both gearheads!
  11. My favorite review pull-quote: "It's like blending Capri Sun with absinthe." I think I've got to see this for myself.
  12. Nope. And I'm specifically not a fan of his overrated, godawful Jungle Book score. OK, godawful is a little strong. I was just flabbergasted by the rave reviews it got. I thought it was boring and lacking anything interesting.
  13. I've seen some people describing it as almost impressively terrible. Like The Room or something. So incompetent it's kind of entertaining.
  14. It's just Gatiss, man. This was his shot at redemption after "Sleep No More" and he blew it, he's gotta go. I'm definitely more curious about the next episode, even though the preview didn't inspire confidence, mostly because it's a first time Who writer. Always curious about a first-timer's episode.
  15. My thought too. It's Elfman scoring a Batman film for the first time in 25 years after all!
  16. DANNY ELFMAN HIRED TO SCORE JUSTICE LEAGUE http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/heat-vision/justice-league-danny-elfman-compose-score-1013319
  17. Shows how much you know! Gosling wasn't even 2 when Blade Runner released!
  18. "Developer Diary" video from the director of Super Mario Odyssey. Their "no bad ideas" approach to designing Mario is very cool. It shows in the imaginative variety of visual and gameplay mechanics. I love how they seem to have taken inspiration from Banjo-Kazooie, where grabbing the main collectible (jiggies in B-K, moons in Odyssey) is just part of exploring the level and you keeping playing after getting one. It's a big departure from the 64-Sunshine-Galaxy approach of taking you out of the level between stars. Oh! And here's one for Metroid: Samus Returns
  19. One of those news that isn't really news items: ‘Doctor Who’: The New Doctor Has Been Cast, Confirms Former Showrunner Russell T. Davies
  20. Both the game and the two Raimi films can be great. They are far from trash.
