  1. Yeah it's too bad they never got to make a third movie and make it a trilogy. But as it stands it's one of the greatest two film series in cinema history. That and The Godfather duo.
  2. That opening cue had to be from a "Mr. Blue Sky" temp or something.
  3. I just want to put it out there: In Super Mario Odyssey, Bowser has employed as minions a group of evil, sibling bunny rabbit wedding planners. Whatever drugs Nintendo has, I want some.
  4. Nintendo's E3 booth is modeled after New Donk City (which I love saying out loud in conversation): Looks insane. I hate crowds so I'd never even consider going to E3. Yeah, Sea of Thieves looks cool. Kinda funny that Ubisoft announced it's own online pirate game yesterday, although with a less cartoony vibe.
  5. You must be thinking of Rare, which was a Nintendo studio once upon a time. Retro is based in Austin, Texas. Since Metroid Prime 3 they've made 2 Donkey Kong 2D platformers. They are definitely working on a Switch game, the rumor is that it's a new IP.
  6. I bought Metroid Prime day 1 on GameCube back in 2002. I loved that game, but somehow never felt compelled to play either of the sequels. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do on Switch. It's not Retro Studios, the original developers, making 4. It's actually an internal Nintendo team in Kyoto I think. Oh I'm definitely buying that. Looks like a lot of fun. I'm not a big RPG fan, but I love the Mario RPGs. I'm hoping the same holds true for Mario strategy RPGs! For 2017 big retail games we know about: Arms - not buying Splatoon 2 - buying Mario + Rabbids - buying Pokken Tournament - not buying Super Mario Odyssey - buying Skyrim - buying Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - not buying
  7. I didn't interpret his statements as him being an actual child, but a childish man. Like Jim Carrey in The Mask, which I'm willing to bet he thinks is a cinematic masterpiece.
  8. Don't get your hopes up, it's a clever cameo. Just a wink to the old-school fans.
  9. It seemed preposterous that across 13 years of dual screen portables, we were never going to get a 2D Metroid game that took advantage of having a map on the bottom screen. They finally snuck it in right at the end of the DS lifespan.
  10. Super Mario Odyssey looks like the game of my fever dreams. It's everything I've ever wanted. I'm in love.
  11. Bear McCreary is still only in his 30s, a long career ahead of him. Much room to grow and surprise us!
  12. And like with Jurassic Park, the author of the novel is a credited screenwriter. I'm never going to read Ready, Player One so I'll leave it to others to tell me how faithful or unfaithful it is.
  13. People who hate Giacchino's tinkly piano writing, turn back now! Samples sound good, can't wait to hear the whole thing. I'm not sure it'll hold up to a full listen, but maybe I can get a good playlist of highlights.
  14. Junkie XL! This film clearly needs the mastermind behind Deadpool!
  15. I want to so badly. Cannot wait. Most anticipated movie of the summer.
  16. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6T5vTBhM2zmc21yNWVnSC14RzQ/view?usp=sharing Et Voila! I still haven't been able to place it either.
  17. That I completely forgot to post here after watching "Empress of Mars" this past Saturday tells you everything you need to know. An episode that is just "fine" in every way. Nothing really notable to say about it. It's better than Gatiss' last one, "Sleep No More" (not hard to do, one of the worst episodes of nu-Who), but that's about it.
  18. Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the morose cunts outgrabe.
  19. Shall I compare thee to a morose cunt? Thou art more lovely and more cunty
  20. Depends on the kind of game. I've put in so many hours over so many years mastering all kinds of super difficult platforming games. I got very good at Super Meat Boy, for instance. It comes down to, "Do I fundamentally enjoy this game concept enough to want to get good at playing it?" For me with most modern action games, the answer is no. I've never really been interested in games where your primary interaction is shooting a gun. Not saying I'm morally superior because of that, it's just not something I'm into "roleplaying" in a game.
