  1. A cameo role near the end, like Tarkin. She apparently had lines at one point but the scenes were cut. This is on the Mon Mothma page on Wookieepedia, but there's no source footnote so take it with a grain of salt: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mon_Mothma#Development_and_portrayal
  2. Could it be this actress who played her in Revenge of the Sith? Possibly, no IMDB confirmation yet. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0642444/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t41
  3. No Riz Ahmed that I could see either. I'm kind of hoping he has a substantial role. After being super impressed with his work in Nightcrawler I want him to become a staple character actor.
  4. I am 100% behind Andy Serkis directing a movie that is a grand showcase for the possibilities of motion capture acting.......I just wish it wasn't in a movie called "Jungle Book: Origins" blech.
  5. Oooh, who is that playing Mon Mothma? She looks remarkably like the original actress. This looks great!
  6. Interesting. So this wasn't the final trailer. Well maybe the last one will have Williams music (and hopefully more polished visual effects shots...)
  7. I agree. Watching the bonus features on the Force Awakens' blu-ray I was kind of amazed at how versatile physical puppets/animatronics can be, especially when simply augmented with CGI. I think certain types of characters make sense for fully CGI, but it shouldn't be the default.
  8. When do we think the soundtrack will be released? My money's on Friday, June 24th, but I could also see them waiting until the film's release date (July 1st).
  9. Yeah, it seems like we're going right back to where we started with the MCU. A mishmash of composers doing their own thing. Which is fine, and you still get some cool scores out of it, but some semblance of thematic cohesion would be nice.
  10. It's kind of funny how short-lived "Brian Tyler as Marvel's house composer" was.
  11. Man, this thread has gotten off-topic but I gotta post my favorite "we gotta build a wall" joke:
  12. Really nice performance. I'm going to see the Richmond Symphony play a John Williams program next January and I really hope they at least include Rey's Theme.
  13. "You oughta see my scruples. I got yuuuuge scruples." - Donald Trump, misunderstanding a question about his ethics
  14. No, I am American and therefore the opposite of scrupulous.
  15. Except for when I buy clothes I tell every cashier I encounter, "I don't need the receipt."
  16. A Best Picture of Spielberg? Gosh, I hope so.
  17. Possibly dumb question, but are the credits the same between the BD and digital versions? I would assume yes, but has anyone verified?
  18. It's one of my favorites by Emmerich. Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx make a fun team. It's certainly better than the similar Olympus Has Fallen, which came out the same year.
  19. Count me in! Except for when he does dramas (Stonewall and that Shakespeare conspiracy movie), those are always not-in-a-fun-way terrible. But yeah, Stargate, ID4, The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, White House Down. All really fun popcorn movies.
  20. I dunno, this looks pretty great to me. Definitely looking forward to Rylance's performance in this.
  21. Obviously like everyone else who grew up in the 80s and 90s my childhood was saturated with Williams music, but the first CD of his music I bought with my own money was The Spielberg/Williams Collaboration at a Barnes & Noble. There are many performances on there I generally prefer to their original soundtrack versions! Especially "Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra."
  22. Who cares?! It's peak-stardom Mel Gibson kicking ass to patriotic Williams music! Besides, you shouldn't go to an Emmerich movie looking for any semblance of accuracy. My favorite Emmerich movie has Jake Gyllenhaal running away from cold air! That's insane!
