Listening to this interview and wonderful music sitting here in my den, with the Christmas tree all lit up and other holiday decorations around.  Making me feel all warm and festive.

Pretty cool video of Hedwig’s Theme being played on the bells of the Washington National Cathedral.  It was interesting if only to see how the bells are played.

I clearly have a much more casual approach to games than you guys.  I couldn't give a shit about the power of my gaming device.  I loved Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii (the 30 hours I played of it at least) and didn't have those feelings you had at all.  It was designed for Wii and ran wonderfully as designed.

I don't really see the point in debating something like "memorability" which is by definition completely an individual experience.  I loved the film and have spun the OST more than a dozen times, which has made it a very memorable experience for me.  It won't be for others.

I think changing the story so that the kids are blaming the mother instead of the father for the divorce (or at least aren't blaming the father completely) might be the single biggest reason he made it THE FABELMANS instead of THE SPIELBERGS, because it is such a fundamental change.

Love this article on what also stood out to me as the most interesting scene in the movie (the one in the hallway after showing the Ditch Day movie)

I even liked reading the article's spirited defense of Ready Player One being an exercise in self-critique

But ultimately I disagree.  I think it's a valid read on the film, but I don't personally sense that intent on the part of Spielberg.  I think in his mind he was just making a crowd-pleaser where he got to experiment with new technology (which is of course another theme of The Fabelmans, his interest in the engineering of film). Obviously I think he failed with that movie, but I enjoyed this alternative take.

Love it.  Certainly the cue where Silvestri most gets to shine in the movie.

@Disco Stu You should at least add these 3 Charles Aznavour great number 1 in your lists. They were #1 in Québec too.

For me, it even improved a lot on rewatch when you can just dig the good parts and roast the bad parts.  Easily my favorite MCU feature film from the last two years, the one that's the most fun as just a dumb action movie.

Disco Stu got a reaction from Naïve Old Fart in The Doctor Who Thread.....
When I got into Who it was with Tennant's second season so there was only two seasons of new Who to catch up on so I did that first, and then went back and sampled stories from each classic Doctor, the ones that seemed most popular/liked.  And then based on which Doctor I liked most (T. Baker) I started watching all of his.  It didn't seem like the kind of show that absolutely required watching in chrono order, so I was happy to just jump around following my curiosity.

But this was also long before there was an easy legal way to watch Who (new or classic) online, so it wasn't as easy to just watch series by series like it is now.  I mean this was the days when new Who didn't air in the US until months after it did in the UK.
