  1. He conducted me and others in singing to him "Happy Birthday"... twice. One at CostCo, with Yo-Yo Ma, the other in Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The one at CostCo felt more intimate because there weren't as many people as in the concert. Does that count for anything?
  2. If I were to describe Williams' conducting in three words, they'd be: Elegance, grace and humor. Williams Hedwig's Theme Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Erich Kunzel
  3. I've seen him five times in concert, one at CostCo Does that count? Williams Hedwig's Theme Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Erich Kunzel
  4. Another article on Troy mentions Horner's score:} Technician Online Debney End Credits from Cutthroat Island Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Erich Kunzel
  5. I'd have to see Shore conduct to say anything, but even if I wasn't a big fan of Lord of the Rings, I like the guy, and his Ed Wood music was right on for that movie. About Shore conducting, to my knowledge he did not study conducting, maybe some clinics, I don't know, enough to get him by. From my knowledge, Williams also did not study conducting, but he learnt a lot conducting the Pops, and with plenty of friends like Seiji Ozawa, although by that time he only needed to perfect his tecniques. Williams is a very charismatic conductor, and can communicate very well the "feeling" of the music, from what I've seen.
  6. That's what it was supposed to be, humanly impossible, but they could have made something too make it sound realistic. I haven't seen the movie Farinelli, but I read they also manipulated the voice with computer.
  7. I was impressed, I mean, if it were real when she begins from very low register to going to soprano. The fast notes sounded really crappy.
  8. Or to the Hollywood Bowl, almost at the same time, but with Olympic music! I want to go to Boston, but I want to see Williams conduct a "Light Classics" program.
  9. That's wonderful! Thank you. I forgot other Home Alone CD I've seen. The Home Alone 2 CD with songs.
  10. LOL "Blue diva" It sounds so fake when she's doing the short fast notes. You can hear the "keyboarding"(or whatever it's called) while she's singing, heh heh
  11. I can't find it anywhere. Only stuff I've seen: Home Alone soundtrack. Home Alone Christmas album. That's it.
  12. If you think about it, they only replaced one wailing singer for another.
  13. Yes, I know he's rude. Going back to the less than a minute compositions, someone should make NBC release all those short variations of Williams' Olympic theme Bernstein Theme from The Magnificent Seven Los Angeles Philharmonic John Williams
  14. Did Williams compose the music from those "movies"?
  15. I want that ship, not excuses. What ship? The Millennium Falcon? My version is the 1997 rerelease. Raksin Laura Brian Stokes Mitchell, vocals Los Angeles Philharmonic John Williams
