Honestly, the tie in should have been an after credits scene. Too bad Marvel is saturating the market with those. -

Rudy Pretty good. Rudy got baptized into my church on Saturday so I thought it the perfect moment to listen to the soundtrack. I need to rewatch the film now. -

The great thing about The Last Jedi is that last could mean final or previous or both. We'll have to see.- 4,196 replies

What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
Hawmy replied to Mr. Breathmask's topic in General Discussion
The General This was the first movie I had to watch for my intro to film class. It was pretty good. I grew up watching the Three Stooges, so the old slapstick comedy hit close. I found myself laughing at jokes when the whole theater was silent. It reminds me of this time in my history class where we watched part of a Charlie Chaplin film and there was a joke where a bunch of pigs were being corralled into a pen and it fades into humans entering into the subway. It was hilarious, but I was the only one who laughed. Whatever. Unbreakable Awesome. Despite some wonky dialogue and the really tacky freeze-frames at the end the movie was great. I don't really understand why it ties into split though -
A Series of Unfortunate Events I was a child when these books were coming out, so I thought there would be some sense of nostalgia or something in there. I was kind of underwhelmed. I don't like Neil Patrick Harris, and I don't think he made a very good Count Olaf. Sunny was creepy as heck. The campy aspect was fun though, but seemed like it was actually trying to be serious in some spots.

Ehh. I've bought a few movies, but with streaming and the library just a few minutes walk away, I haven't really felt a need to buy movies. I did buy the Star Wars dvd/blu ray pack though. Also, my roommates just got an xbox one since the last time I posted, so I can now watch blu rays at a high quality haha. -

I'm not shelling out money for that. My computer plugged into the tv is a perfectly fine set-up because I don't need super high quality to enjoy a film. -

My computer's old, so it doesn't have hd capabilities, thus looking a little fuzzy on my tv. -

Minority Report I checked it out from the library like two and a half weeks ago and finally got around to watching it. Pretty good. The score was superb (of course). The acting was good. The plot was good. It was paced well. The cinematography was interesting. It would probably look way better if I had a better computer haha. The scene in the mall with Agitha was the best part of the film imo. -

We see the senate for two minutes. Admittedly, the most boring two minutes of the film, but it was necessary to the plot. -

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace This movie gets a lot of flak, but I like it. I don't understand why people hate it so much. The bad lines and moments of bad acting don't completely ruin the film. The score is genius (of course). The pacing's good, but get's a little slow when they get to coruscant until the battle. I like podracing. It reminds me of Ben-Hur. -

General Harmony/Orchestration/Theory Questions
Hawmy replied to Dixon Hill's topic in General Discussion
@WillMajor intervals are bigger than minor intervals. A minor second is a half-step, while a major second is a whole step. A minor third is 3 half-steps while a major is 4. A minor sixth is 8 half-steps and a major sixth is 9. A minor seventh is 10 half-steps and a major seventh is 11. I hope that helps. Don't worry about the keys. In my personal opinion that's not a very good way of teaching it.- 564 replies
