I don't really have anything super special to say, but I just love John Williams. Pretty much every song he writes is great. Not only that, but he's great as a person. He's just great.

I know!
EDIT: This is in response to Koray

The Testaments: Of One Fold and One Shepherd
Great film. Score's amazing and the acting is mostly great. All around, it's a well made film. I doubt anyone on here would like.

Still as good as ever.

It was over the top sometimes, but not terrible.

Big Trouble in Little China
Ehh.

Oh, well I'm sure it will be fine.

Went and finished Dune.
The second half is far worse than the first half. The pacing becomes way too quick. The stuff that made the book what it was is all cut out like the omnipresence of the Bene Gesserit and the fact that nothing was actually supernatural. It's still pretty decent by itself, but it could be so much better.

Roger Deakins lensing a Dune movie...the possibilities
If it turns out anything like Arrival, I won't be too mad.

Dune, but only the first half
The first and probably last time I ever use a Laserdisc player. I only watched the first half because the media center in the library closed, but I've already seen Dune so whatever. I really love the aesthetic in this movie. I think it fits very well (unlike the SciFi mini series). The soundtrack is good even though the whole thing is pretty much the same four notes.
The Andromeda Strain
It was alright, but I hate biology so the film kinda irked me.

Looks interesting.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Seems like a lot of people listen to this one around Christmas, so I hopped on the bandwagon.

I'm not too well versed in Wes Anderson films haha.

I watched the film last night, but I haven't listened to the soundtrack by itself yet. In the film, I didn't really like most of the original themes. They were alright as themes, but I feel like they didn't match the tone of the film.

Like the other two cuckoos before me said, the SW franchise is not running dry: it's just that Disney is playing it safe and prefers to release movies that are related directly to the OT in terms of feel/atmosphere/setting/characters/storylines to benefit from the nostalgia factor, rather than try new, "riskier" things. Hopefully, as time goes by, they'll be a bit more adventurous, at least with the spin-off movies...
I guess. The main idea's still there.

I like Mothersbaugh, but I'm more familiar with Devo than his film stuff. He also wrote some things for the Aquabats Super Show which is my favorite tv show, so I like that.

Rogue One.
I went two nights ago with some friends, but I fell asleep, so I went again tonight. It was alright I guess. The Star Wars franchise is kind of running dry and everything's starting to feel the same. It's a good thing I like Star Wars.

The Karate Kid (1984)
It was pretty good.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the songs. It's mostly the lyrics and who's singing them that makes them bad.
