Jeez. I'll be going still but so many cancellations now... Pretty empty for a film music concert at the rah: I go there a LOT... every concert I've been to has been totally packed whether that was Giacchino.... James Newton Howard.... Orchestra to film concerts...
Tickets are still premium priced which is probably the issue...

I'm just so thankful I got the chance to see him live in boston 2 years ago. Although that nearly didn't happen thanks to a massive extended thunderstorm over Tanglewood during the interval ⛈️😂

1 minute ago, rough cut said:Makes me sad to hear that a lot of people are returning their tickets.
Obviously, it won’t be the same as the maestro conducting his own music, and I understand that people are disappointed.
But it’s still a JW concert. It’s still the RAH. It’s still the LSO. It’s still London. It’s still once in a lifetime.
I actually called up and upgraded my ticket to better seats. Did the opposite to everyone else 😂😊

Little late to the party but I put together a blog with photos vids and audio of my trip to see JW live last year. Going to see James Newton Howard conduct in November which should be decent too.

Its a sort of synth with sampled celeste mixture on the Potter soundtrack. Randy Kerber played it.
In fact you can buy the VST from Cinesamples; its called Randy's Celeste.

Well that evening had it all! Still buzzing. We managed to get out and back to the hotel in 15 minutes. Parked near the road.
The programme actually changed in the end from the previous info.
The two encores were great too, Luke and Leias theme and Harry Potter. I was near the front behind the celeste......perfect for Potter!
Fun tropical storm at half time too lol

Thanks everyone! Well that was surprisingly easy. Used the EZ pass and there was a bit of a slowdown on the i90 but not too bad.
Ah the autograph thing was more tongue in cheek anyway, I've already seen Zimmer and Ennio Morricone performing with orchestra in London and Clint Mansell....but Williams will just add the cherry on the cake as he is (in my opinion) leaps and bounds ahead of Zimmer....Morricone is perhaps closer to the genius of Williams the maestro

Some storm this afternoon here though, glad we are in the shed

Hey there everyone. I'm flying in from the uk for this one on Saturday and have a few questions!
1) what's the route like i90 from Boston international? Any parts to watch out for? The roads at Boston logan look a little complex
where do you pay the i90 toll and is that cash only or?
2) what time can you go on site before the concert at tanglewood normally?
3) how hot are they on the not taking photos thing? I just wanted a couple of snaps maybe during his bow...
4) any chance of his autograph. I know this is a long shot

Anything else you can advise please let me know. So excited.
