CGCJ got a reaction from Sam the Music Man in Tales Of The Empire (May 4th) - Mini Series
Here's my spreadsheet on the score if any one wants a breakdown of the soundtrack release: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11f44kZXA864sWJcZU09RCMa2LGv01GQnoO4DhYMi0IU/htmlview
Looks like Jason Fujita is now writing on the scores, being credited for Seek the Healer. He was previously credited as 'Music Assistant' on Ahsoka & The Bad Batch series 3.
Also, Ludwig Göransson is credited for Back to Corvus so presumably it references his score from The Mandalorian episode The Jedi.

CGCJ reacted to enderdrag64 in Star Wars Alternate Takes Thread
Update on this: it's actually much more complicated than I originally described, all three sets are inaccurate to the film performance edit.
The 1993 set has an incorrect take from 1:00-1:30
The 1997 set has incorrect takes from 0:00-0:19, 0:56-1:00, 1:19-1:30
The 2018 set has the correct takes everywhere, but transitions between them at the wrong point leading to a missing second at 0:59, this missing second can be recovered using the 1993 set

CGCJ reacted to Andy in Temple of Doom is celebrating 40 years in 2024
The film itself won’t win any awards for cultural sensitivity. But Dr. Jones himself should! As an impressionable youngster, I saw him model appropriate behavior around different ethnicities and cultures.
“You’re insulting them and you’re embarrassing me. “
That’s the guy I wanted to grow up to be.
While Willie is being an idiot during the palace dinner, Jones is cool as a cucumber, apologizing to the Majarajah for being insensitive. His is the attitude we are supposed to follow.
Above all, we have a role model who is compassionate to “lower people”. While a soldier of fortune like Alan Quartermaine would’ve probably trampled right over the Mayapore village to get to his fortune and glory, Jones is visibly upset at their poverty and sick to his stomach over their children. He could’ve escaped the Temple with his bag of stones, but risks his neck and saves them.
I get it. I mean, this is trashy blockbuster fare from a director who has many more “grown up” films on his resume. And the film was made in a time when it was still okay to show a rickshaw driver unfavorably, or suggest a cult of Indian people eat monkey brains. Growing up in the 70s/80s, I can tell you kids like me were far less aware of harmful insensitivities. It just wasn’t taught. But at the end of the day, Jones himself modeled how to respect cultural differences, while still entertaining the hell out of me.

CGCJ reacted to enderdrag64 in new discovery - original Cantina Band cue title
There is evidence against this actually. The Margaret Herrick Library at AMPAS has some typeset cue sheets in their collection that were donated by Lukas Kendall of FSM. You can pay for a scanned copy if you want it for research purposes, I bought one a while ago. All of the scratched out titles in the sheet music match the titles in the typeset cue sheet. The typeset cue sheet is dated June 15, 1977.
Here is a table with the original John Williams title on the left, the scratched out/revised title in the middle (this list is incomplete as the sheet music leak doesn't have all of these), and the typeset cue sheet on the right.

CGCJ reacted to BrotherSound in new discovery - original Cantina Band cue title
Also worth noting that ‘Don’t Bee That Weigh’ is actually crossed out and ‘The Catina Band Pt. II’ is written in with red ink.
This is typically what they did with cues selected for album tracks. See for example how ‘The Last Battle Part I’ is written in for 8M2 More Rescue here, which would only make sense in the context of the album track:
So, it would appear Cantina Band 2 may have originally been intended to feature on the OST, combined in a track with the other Cantina Band tune.

So maybe "Monkey Band" was a retitle for the full score manuscripts? Either that or it's not the title at all—just a reference to this being a different ensemble on the scoring stage.

CGCJ got a reaction from Gabriel Bezerra in Star Wars "Rebels" - Kevin Kiner Returns!
WTF why are Wolves to the Rescue & Wolves Maul the Stormtroopers the wrong cues!? They contain Ghost Pursued and Pryce Cuffed, not the cues the tracks are titled after! They have the correct composer credits for the 'Wolves' cues and not for what they actually contain (David Glen Russell isn't credited for the inclusion of Ghost Pursued), so this seems to be a mistake.

That's what you'd want, more of the orchestra cues!
It's a shame Family Reunion – and Farewell's score isn't completely available especially with how much of it we already had (all of which was redunantly included), I was really hoping that Zeb vs Rukh would be included as I'd like to know if the cut part of the fight was scored. (It can be glimsed here at 01:49 and was mentioned in the episode commentray on the Blu-ray)
