Unreleased music
Immediately after the preparation/takeoff/speech montage ends, we cut to Rey, having made it through the maw, arriving at Exegol and seeing the massive Star Destroyer fleet. She lands on the planet in front of the same building Kylo went to in the prologue. The music playing during all this is the same music that had been used in the prologue (FYC 01 0:56-1:28) as Kylo flew to Exegol, the Anthem of Evil on brass played under fast-paced strings, with Rey's Theme appearing towards the end. Since Rey's theme appears in this piece of music, it seems more likely that it was written for this scene and later tracked into the Prologue, but it also sounds musically similar to all the Kylo on Mustafar music in Journey to Exegol that plays in the film leading into this passage, so it is impossible to tell at this point which iteration is intended and which is tracked.
As she exits Luke's X-Wing and approaches the building, about 18 seconds of The Emperor's Theme from The Birth of the Twins from The Revenge of the Sith is tracked in again.
A timpani hit transitions from the tracked music into about 18 seconds of action music that seems to be unreleased, covering the Resistance fleet traveling through the maw and then the General Pryde instructing his crew to use Ion Cannons against the approaching vessels. As the Resistance Fleet arrives and Poe remarks at the size of the fleet , about 8 seconds of Falcon Flight (0:20-0:28) is tracked in, repeating the fast-paced Emperor's Theme from that cue for this moment.
Now the final battle of the war official begins, with Resistance and First Order ships exchanging fire, and Finn finding the navigation tower he needs to destroy and heading towards it. This 30 second sequence is completely unscored, though it is possible the music heard in the OST track The Battle of The Resistance from 0:00-1:12 was written to cover a longer version of this sequence.
Next, Rey is shown walking through the building on Exegol. This 38 second scene is scored by about 12 seconds of music that I believe is tracked but I can't place at the moment (a portion is extremely similar to OST Fanfare and Prologue 0:28-0:32), followed by about 24 seconds tracked in from the OST track Fanfare and Prologue (3:39-4:05) featuring The Emperor's Theme with a brief, unidentified but likely tracked transition into:
FYC 16 Battle of the Resistance 1:54 / OST 13 Battle of the Resistance 2:51
The battle rages, with Resistance Ships and First Order ships exchanging more fire, and Luke's Theme plays as some lay cover fire for Finn and Jannah as they make their way towards the navigation tower. General Pryde deactivates the tower, knowing he can lead all the fleet out if they follow his Destroyer instead. Finn, as The Force Theme plays, instantly knows which Destroyer is the right one, and lands on it, leading a ground charge on orbaks as The Force Theme plays again.
Note: None of the material heard from 0:00-1:12 of the OST track appears in the film at all, and again could be for either deleted battle footage, or possible something recorded specifically for the album.
FYC 17 Approaching the Throne (4:16) / OST 14 Approaching The Throne 4:16
There is actually 3 different versions of this cue: The OST version, the FYC version, and the film version.
The OST version and the FYC version are the same in terms of basic musical content and themes used, but there are minor edits throughout each, the opening bass line has been pitched down in the FYC version, and the final choral outburst is punctuated with a final chord on the OST version only.
The film version further differs from the FYC version in two different spots! I'll point out each difference as I go through the action.
Rey approaches the throne room set to a pulsing bass line followed by passages led by strings, horn, and then strings again, as she looks around and sees the empty throne. This is the first about 45 seconds of the track (either version)
As recorded, next would be about 15 seconds of eerie underscore as Rey turns around and observes that the entire room is full of Sith faithful, and they begin chanting and the music hits a crescendo point. This is heard on both the OST (0:45-0:57) and the FYC (0:45-1:03), but is completely dialed out in the final film mix, so that the chanting of the Sith is the only music you hear.
Rey hears the Emperor speaking, and turns around to see Palpatine on his crane. Rey's Theme is heard as Palpaltine says "I never wanted you dead, I wanted you here", and he then tells Rey it is her birthright to rule here. An optimistic string line sneaks out from the moody underscore as Rey indicates she has not come to lead the Sith, but to end them. Strings grow with intensity until the Sith Wayfinder motif plays under Palpatine saying "that is what I want: Kill me and my spirit will pass into you" and then music that almost hints at Kylo Ren"s Theme plays as he continues with "as all the Sith live in me, you will be Empress, we will be one"
Back outside, the battle continues with Jannah and Finn covering BB-8 as he attempts to open a hatch. He is successful, and Jannah drops a bandoleer of grenades inside. They run to safety and observe the navigation tower. This music is fast-based action, and builds up to a triumphant setting of The Victory Theme, meant to begin right when the navigation tower successfully deactivates and continuing as Poe observes from his ship. However, this setting is only heard in the OST (3:10-3:20) and FYC (3:17-3:27) versions of the cue; In the final film, music from a few moments prior as BB-8 opened the hatch (OST 2:31-2:41 / FYC 2:39-2:49) is tracked back in to replace the Victory Theme statement entirely.
The Resistance Theme plays as Finn realizes the Destroyer is resetting its systems and Snap lets Poe know the Falcon has sent no word on any backup.
In the throne room, The Emperor proclaims "the time has come!", and a choral passage concludes this lengthy cue as the Sith faithful in the room begin moving.
FYC 18 Parents 1:57
There is a brief unscored moment as Rey says she will not kill him and Palpatine says she is weak like her parents, with this cue beginning as as soon as Rey says her parents were strong, saving her from Palpatine, but Palpatine opens the roof of the throne room and lets Rey see how badly The Resistance is losing the battle. A choir passage underlines the tragedy as several Resistance pilots and ground troops are shown perishing. A new variant of Kylo Ren's Theme, which I will call the Ben Solo Theme plays twice, first on strings, then on brass during cutaways to Ben, having apparently made his way to Exegol, approaches the building, runs inside, and jumps down towards the throne room.
A brief scene where Finn tells Rose to take off in the landing ship without him so him and Jannah can take the Destroyer down themselves is unscored.
FYC 19 Coming Together 1:44
Score returns once Palpatine is lowered to the ground, telling the Sith that Rey will now strike him down and pledge herself as a Sith. Another iteration of the Ben Solo Theme plays as he is shown to be closer to the throne room, and has a blaster that he uses to take out some of Palpatine's guards in his way. The Knights of Ren approach him, and a final iteration of The Knights of Ren theme is heard. The rest of the scene is a lot of quick cuts between both sequences, as Rey ignites her saber and approaches Palpatine, and Ben attempts to fight the Knights with only his blaster and his Force abilities. Eventually, Ben is about to lose, and reaches out through the Force to Rey. The Force Theme underscores their wordless understanding, as Rey lifts her saber as if to strikes Palpatine down as he wants, but instead places it behind her back and the cue ends abruptly as she pulls her hand out to show him that it's gone.
Unreleased music
Ben reaches behind his back and pulls out the saber, gives the Knights a brief sarcastic bow, and an impressive and climactic action cue now explodes to the forefront, with the film cutting back and forth between Ben fighting and eventually defeating the Knights of Ren, and Rey pulling out Leia's saber and then fighting and eventually defeating the Emperor's guards. The music features glorious heroic renditions of Rey's theme and the Ben Solo Theme intermingled as all this happens, and comes to a close as they stand before The Emperor, Luke and Leia's sabers drawn, but he uses the force to knock their sabers out of their hands and lift them up in the air.
No music plays as Palpatine realizes Rey and Ben are a dyad in the Force, unseen for generations, with a brief but intense cue playing as he begins sucking out their life force.
Back above the surface, all hope seems lost for the Resistance, and Snap Wexley perishes as Poe looks on unable to help. This is unscored, with the next cue beginning on a morose note as all Poe can hear is the sound of defeat, and as he apologizes for their imminent defeat, Lando arrives with a massive fleet of ships. A new lengthy rendition of Luke's Theme, arranged like it was for the original film's End Credits, but extended with new passages plays as the tide turns and many of the new ships begin taking out Destroyers.
Back in the throne room, Rey and Ben are collapsed on the floor unable to get up, and The Emperor's Theme plays as he approaches them. Ben begins moving, and the Ben Solo Theme plays one final time as Palpatine uses the Force to fling him up in the air and into a hole int he ground, seemingly to his death. The Emperor's Theme plays as he proclaims "nothing will stop the return of the Sith"
The music cuts out as he begins shooting lightning from his fingertips into the sky, which flies outwards into all nearby Resistance ships and they begin falling form the sky.
FYC 20 Seeing Sights 3:17 / OST 15A [0:00-3:02] The Force Is with You 3:02
Rey wakes up and looks upward, seeing Resistance ships continue to fall from the sky as more choir is used. She attempts to connect with the Jedi of the past as she had attempted to do in the beginning of the movie, as Rey's Theme plays on piano. Numerous Jedi begin speaking to her, and soon the music builds with intensity as she is able to finally stand up and draw her lightsaber towards herself. Rey's Theme gets a serious rendition as she faces The Emperor, who begins sending lightning towards her instead of the sky, The Emperor's Theme backed with choir plays for a bit, but after Rey draws the other lightsaber towards herself and cross them in front of her, a triumphant The Force Theme plays as the Emperor's lightning backfires on himself and he perishes.
Unreleased (well, tracked) music
As he dies, the building begins to crumble. Outside, Jannah and Rey successfully blow up the bridge of the command ship and General Pryde perishes. This is all scored by The Force Theme tracked in from Peace and Purpose from The Last Jedi.
FYC 21 Rescue 1:10 / OST 15B [3:02-end] The Force Is with You 0:57
The Victory Theme returns as Poe realizes that because the command ship has been destroyed, the fleet is stuck and cannot escape orbit and travel through the maw. However, Rose reminds Poe that Finn and Jannah are stuck on the command ship, and they are shown in imminent danger as the Destroyer plummets towards the surface. Lando arrives, and The Rebel Fanfare plays as The Falcon flies over and hovers where Finn and Jannah can jump onto it and they all fly away from danger.
OST 16A [0:00-0:48] Rey's Death 0:48
Rey looks around, drops both lightsabers as drops to the ground dead, as Finn feels it through the force. Rey's Theme plays as her lifeless body is shown on the ground, relatively near the pit that Palpatine threw Ben into.
FYC 22 Farewell 4:27 / OST 16B [0:48-end] Farewell 4:26
Ben's hand appears, and he pulls himself out of the pit and approaches Rey's body as a tragic version of Kylo Ren's Theme plays. He picks up her body and hugs it, then remembers the healing power she had used on him. He puts his hand on her side and attempts to bring her back to life, with Rey's Theme playing as soon as her hand moves to cover his. The music crescendos as she sits up, and quiets as she says "Ben" and smiles. They kiss, and he smiles back, but then falls backwards as a funeral-pyre sounding brass passage plays. This passage is similar to the one written for when he was about to die on Kef Bir just before Rey healed him (heard on the OST but replaced in the film/FYC), but here it continues as as his and then Leias bodies fade away, with only Maz being in attendance for the latter.
First Order ships are shown plummeting to the surface set to a brief subdued fanfare, and Rey is shown in Luke's X-Wing joining the fleet. A choir-backed rendition of The Victory Theme now covers more shots of First Order ships plummeting, The Resistance Fleet uniting and flying away, and celebrations on 3 random planets (I think Bespin, the Forest Moon of Endor and... Jakku?)
In the film, the end of this cue segues directly into:
OST 17 Reunion 4:04
The Resistance reunites and celebrates on Ajan Kloss. Luke's Theme is heard as BB-8 rolls around and reunites with D-0, The Force Theme is heard as Chewie hugs Rose while Finn looks on from a distance, and there is a brief comedic interlude as Poe sees Zorii and and they nod at each other from a distance, but she rejects a wordless request for more. The OST version continues from here with a lovely statement of Poe's Theme (1:02-1:17) that does not appear in the film at all, perhaps indicating in the cut Williams scored to, she did not reject his advances, and they hugged as well, set to his theme. The film also omits the beginning portion (1:17-1:39) of Yoda's Theme, perhaps meant to underscore more cut celebration footage.
Resuming what is in the film, Yoda's Theme plays as Beaumont hugs Klaud, Maz gives Chewie the medal Leia was seen holding earlier in the film, Poe reunites with Finn, and 3P0 hears Lukes K-Wing approaching. Rey's Theme plays as she lands and BB-8 greets her. Luke and Leia plays as Jannah sits down next to Lando hits on bonds with her, and then Rey sees Finn and Poe. As the three of them embrace each other, We Go Together gets a sweet string rendition to end the cue as the scene fades out over a wide shot of the entire celebration.
FYC 23 A New Home 1:42 / OST 18 A New Home 1:47
Rey arrives on Tatooine without score, with a final new melody beginning as she approaches the Lars Homestead. Rey's Theme plays for the final time to picture as she slides down a hill towards their house, and the new melody continues as she wraps up Luke and Leia's sabers and uses the Force to bury them in the sand. She is shown to have constructed her own, new lightsaber with a yellow blade, and stands up when she sees a woman has arrived nearby and asks her who she is.
There is no score as she says her name is Rey, but then is at a loss for words when asked for her family name.
OST 19 Finale 10:51
Rey looks into the distance and sees a vision of Luke and Leia smiling at her, and as The Force Theme begins, arranged exactly like it was for the Finale from The Force Awakens, she tells the woman her name is Rey Skywalker, the music swells and she is shown looking into the setting suns of Tatooine with BB-8 to end the film.
The End Credits roll, after the traditional opening, contains arrangements of We Go Together (1:20-2:05), Anthem of Evil (2:05-3:25), The Imperial March (3:25-4:51), Rey's Theme (4:51-6:09), The Victory Theme (6:09-7:32), and Luke's Theme and the Rebel Fanfare (7:32-end)
In the final film, the Anthem of Evil passage is cut down to 38 seconds, The Imperial March is cut down to just over a minute, and The Victory Theme passage is cut down to just under a minute.
CONCERT ARRANGEMENTS:
OST 07 Anthem of Evil 3:23
This is an arrangement of the Anthem of Evil theme, giving it more depth that it receives in the final film.
OST 03 The Rise of Skywalker 4:18
This piece arranges two different themes together. The Victory Theme opens the track (0:00-0:48), arranged similarly to how it is in the end credits (6:09-6:52). This is followed by a new flute-led transition (0:48-0:53) that leads into an arrangement of We Go Together (0:53-1:43), also arranged similarly to how it is in the end credits (1:20-2:05), but with a new coda. This is followed by a completely original bridge (1:43-2:25) that features both We Go Together (2:03) and The Victory Theme (2:18). Next (2:25-3:32) comes a re-orchestrated version of a passage from Farewell (3:56-4:57), this time without any choir accompaniment, but featuring a similar triumphant version of The Victory Theme. Finally (3:32-end), a noble horn and string arrangement of The Victory Theme ends the track.

Unreleased music
The Emperor instructs General Pryde to destroy Kijimi set to an unreleased cue featuring Anthem of Evil, followed by The Imperial March tracked in from Journey to Exegol as it is shown that that Star Destroyers now have planet killing weapons installed underneath them. As Kijimi is destroyed, a great unreleased variant of Anthem of Evil plays.
On Ajan Kloss, Poe and the resistance process the news, with The Emperor's Theme tracked in from Birth of the Twins from Revenge of the Sith playing as Beaumont reads the Emperor's message out loud. Next we hear music tracked in from Plans for the Twins from Revenge of the Sith: Leia's Theme is as Poe visits her body, and by The Force Theme as Lando arrives and begins talking to Poe. D-0 is looking through some of Rey's belongings, and Finn and D-0 both share that they miss Rey. All of a sudden, Finn is telling Poe that D-0 has information about Exegol as Poe's Theme plays. As Finn begins sharing the information, The Resistance Theme plays.
OST 06 Destiny of a Jedi 5:12
Rey is on Ach-To (the intended opening of this cue [0:00-0:06] is replaced by the flourish heard from [1:02-1:08] in the final cut), and has set Kylo's TIE Fighter on fire while some porgs watch. Rey's Theme plays as she holds her lightsaber out, and there is a crescendo as she tosses it towards the flaming wreckage. The Force Ghost of Luke Skywalker catches it however, and The Force Theme plays as he walks through the burning wreckage towards her and scolds her for disrespecting the weapon.
Later, Rey tells Luke she plans to settle on Ach-To and never leave so she does not become the dark vision she saw of herself on the throne. Luke reveals he and Leia knew Rey was a Palpatine all along (wtf?), and a unique oboe (?) rendition of Rey's Theme plays as Luke tells her that Leia saw the good in her. This transitions into The Force Theme as Luke tells Rey that the destiny is a Jedi is to confront fear, and that Rey must face Palpatine or it will mean the end of the Jedi and the war will be lost... and that he has something Leia wanted her to have.
A non-thematic passage covers Luke showing Rey where Leia's saber is hidden behind a stone in his hut, and Leia's theme plays as she takes it out and a flashback is shown showing young Luke and Leia training together. Luke tells Rey that Leia had sensed that her son would die in the future, so she surrendered her saber to him and told him that one day it would be picked up again by someone who would continue her journey. Luke's theme plays as he says that a thousand generations of Jedi live in Rey, and that she will take both sabers to Exegol and she has everything she needs to get there. We Go Together plays as she realizes the other Wayfinder is in the burning wreckage, which she grabs, and the music transitions into Yoda's Theme arranged as it was for Yoda and the Force from The Empire Strikes Back as Force Ghost Luke elevates his old X-Wing out of the ocean as Rey watches with reverence.
Unreleased music
Back on Ajan Kloss, 3P0 re-introduces himself to R2 because his memory has been wiped, but then R2 quickly restores it then indicates he has picked up a signal. Finn and Poe plug D-0 into a computer to try to figure out how to get to Exegol, until they are interrupted by 3P0 letting them know the signal R2 received is from Luke. All of this is unscored.
Score returns with an exciting, up-beat cue as they examine the transmission and realize that it is Rey showing them how to get to Exegol, and we see her piloting Luke's X-Wing through the maw. We Go Together plays as Finn says says "she"s showing us how to get there", and Poe says "We go together".
The resistance group gathers, with Beaumont collecting Chewie who is still shown to be grieving Leia. Poe, Finn and Rose lay out a plan to the group set to a lengthy new rendition of The Resistance Theme. After Beaumont has a line asking about doing a Holdo maneuver, there is clear ADR and an odd cut which seems to cover some removed footage:
OST 11 They Will Come 2:50
The music heard in the first 57 seconds of the OST track are not heard in the film at all, could possible have been written for the missing footage just mentioned, or anything from around there or elsewhere, or could be something recorded specifically for the album.
Film and OST are the same only from 0:57-2:09, starting with a rendition of The Victory Theme, which covers Finn and Poe outlying their plan to win, which includes Lando and Chewie gathering good people to fight with them. This leads right into The Resistance Theme, which covers a montage of various Resistance members preparing for the battle and taking off, intercut with the end of Finn and Poe's speeches.
Since the film only follows what is heard on the OST from until 2:09, the sweeping rendition of The Victory Theme heard at the end of the album track is entirely absent from the film, and could have been written for a different or longer speech/preparation/takeoff montage, or could be something recorded specifically for the album.
The film segues from the 2:09 point right into to 22 seconds of music tracked in from The March of the Resistance from The Force Awakens to cover the end of the montage.

Unreleased music
The brief, non-thematic cue where Pryde realizes Hux was the spy and kills him is unreleased, as is the next cue where Rey talks to Finn on the Falcon. That cue begins with another unreleased new variant of The Emperor's Theme as she tells Finn that it was The Emperor that had her parents killed, though a variant of Kylo Ren's Theme that seems to be tracked in from The Abduction from The Force Awakens plays as Rey tells Finn that no one knows who she is. A brief scene where Kylo talks to The Emperor is scored by Hey! from The Force Awakens, which continues as the Falcon lands on Kef Bir and Jannah is shown tracking them as they land.
FYC 11 The Old Death Star 2:14 / OST 04A [0:00-2:21] The Old Death Star 2:21
This cue begins on a wide shot of the Falcon's crashed landing on the surface, panning over to the heroes walking towards a shoreline which is revealed to have Death Star II wreckage in the ocean. A little trumpet fanfare plays as Rey pulls out the Sith Dagger, and The Imperial March plays as she lines it up with the wreckage and figures out the location of the Wayfinder.
The film/FYC and OST then divert for the next scene. Both feature a bit of suspense for Jannah and her crew showing up, but then score the conversation she has with our heroes using different themes. The original version on the OST (1:19-2:21) features The Resistance Theme and then Rey's Theme, while the film/FYC version (1:14-end) features Rey's Theme and then Poe's Theme.
Unreleased music
A quick scene with BB8 and D-0 outside in unscored, as is a brief scene of Poe working on the Falcon and Jannah bringing Finn a part he needs and them beginning to talk. As they realize each other are both First Order deserters, the cue begins, which re-uses Finns Confession from The Force Awakens before transitioning into The Force Theme as Finn talks about how the Force brought him to Rey and Poe and brought him here.
FYC 12 Off the Waterfront 1:03 / OST 04C [2:21-end] Off The Waterfront 0:55
Rey sails towards the Death Star II in a stolen skimmer, over incredibly bumpy waters, and Finn and Poe debate whether they should go help right away or after the Falcon is fixed
Unreleased music
A brief non-thematic unreleased cue scores Rey arriving at the Death Star II and Jannah telling Finn there's another skimmer. Rey climbs up a section of the wreckage, unscored at first, then scored with nice non-thematic but heroic music as she makes the last few jumps and ends up in a hallway. The music then quickly switches to tracked-in Darth Vaders Death from Return of the Jedi and she goes down the hallway and finds herself in the Emperors Throne Room.
A door opens on its own (why?), and when Rey goes in she grabs the Wayfinder and then turns around, all as no score plays. Music enters as it is revealed a dark version of herself is there, and they have a brief lightsaber battle to a brief, unreleased, non-thematc cue, ending as Kylo Rens hand grabs the Wayfinder from the floor.
The next unreleased cue begins as Ren tells Rey she cannot return to Leia, just like he cannot, and after crushing the Wayfinder in his fist, the music quickly turns into action cue as Rey and Ren begin dueling. Back on Ajan Kloss, Leia's Theme is heard as she is shown contemplating before Maz tells R2 she knows what must be done, and Connix helps her walk away.
Back at the Death Star wreckage, Rey and Ren continue to duel. Finn and Jannah have arrived, but Rey force-pushes Finn away from the duel, then continues to fight Ren until a giant wave approaches the piece of wreckage they are on and they have to jump to another piece. They continue to duel on that piece for a while, until she eventually jumps to another piece of wreckage when Ren seems to have an upper hand on her. This lengthy sequence is entirely unscored.
FYC 13 Final Saber Duel 1:38 / OST 12A [0:00-1:05] The Final Saber Duel 1:05
This cue begins as Ren approaches Rey on the new wreckage she led him to, where they duel set to some trumpet runs until she seems to finally be realizing she wont win as Kylo Ren's Theme plays during a brief lull in the action. She lunges back at him anyway, and they duel until she ends up on the ground. Just when he begins to land what would be a killing blow, the music quiets down considerably as Leia intervenes and Ren backs off, with brief choir underscoring Leia lying down on her death bed, causing Ren to drop his saber as the cue fades out, giving Rey the chance to grab it and stab Kylo in the stomach with it. The music has completely subsided as Leia dies and Rey feels it through the force.
This quiet ending with choir is removed from the OST version and only is available in the FYC version.
FYC 14 Healing Wounds 2:49 / OST 12B [1:05-end] Healing Wounds 2:15
The opening of this cue is different between the OST and film/FYC. The OST version (1:05-1:42) starts with high strings and then features some funeral pyre sounding brass. The film/FYC version (0:00-0:31) is mostly just high strings. Either version of this passage covers Rey continuing to process what has happened to Leia, until she looks down at Kylo and sees the wound she made.
Film/FYC and OST then are the same, with a tempo change (OST 1:42) as she reaches out for his wound and heals it as The Force Theme plays. She tells Ren she wanted to take his hand ("Ben's hand"), then the music picks up (OST 2:33) as she runs towards Ren's TIE Fighter and takes of fin it, as Finn watches in despair and Poe arrives in the Falcon behind him.
Back on Ajan Kloss, Leia's Theme plays as the Resistance gathers around her death bed to say goodbye. Poe, Finn, and Chewie arrive, and some brief female choir plays as D'Ac has to tell Poe that Leia is gone.
FYC 15 Advice 1:54
Kylo is shown holding his lightsaber staring at the water (I guess when Poe showed up in the Falcon they chose not to just shoot him down?), and then he hears Han's voice and they begin talking, all with no music. The score begins on Han's line "Kylo Ren is dead, my son is alive", and continues to underscore their discussion about Leia being dead and Kylo knowing what he has to do. The uptick in tempo (1:28) comes when he tosses his lightsaber into the ocean, then turns around and Han has disappeared.

The initial scenes on Kijimi as the group sneaks around and avoids stormstroopers is unscored, with music entering as Poe tells the group to follow him, but Zorii quickly finds them and points a blaster at Poe's head. The cue is largely subdued and entirely non-thematic. The next cue is a bit more upbeat as Zorii realizes Rey is the one the troopers are looking for, with a brief action outburst playing as she tries to grab her but Rey gets the upper hand. We Go Togetheri is heard as Rey lets Zorii knows she cares what Zorii thinks, but the cue ends with some ominous tension as they narrowly avoid being seen by some stormtroopers, with The Knights of Ren Theme playing as they arrive.
Source music ("Oma's Place" by Ricky Tinez and J.J. Abrams) plays as they enter a bar and meet Babu Frick in a backroom, with the next score cue entering as C3P0 realizes he must allow his memory to be wiped so the mission can go on, with Luke's Theme playing as 3P0 tells them he's taking one last look as his friends. A brief unreleased cue is heard when Pryde tells Kylo the Knights of Ren have tracked the heroes to Kijimi.
Babu starting his work on 3P0 is unscored, as is the beginning of a conversation Poe and Zorii have on a rooftop. The music enters after Zorii lifts her visor and lets Poe look at her eyes, with music reminiscent of Return to Tattooine from Attack of the Clones playing as Poe shares the story of how no one came to help the Resistance at The Battle of Crait and he expresses doubt that the resistance has any chance of winning the war.
A brief scene where Rey fixes D-0's squeeky wheel is unscored, then Lesson Two from The Last Jedi is tracked in as Rey realizes that she recognizes the ship they took from Pasaana, with original music returning as as 3P0 relays the message that was written on the dagger. The pace picks up as Rey runs outside and sees Kylo's Destroyer, which is scored by Kylo Ren's Theme. Luke's Theme is heard again as Rey realizes Chewie is alive.
FYC07 Fleeing from Kimiji 1:53 / OST 08A [0:00-1:33] Fleeing from Kijimi 1:33
The fast-paced opening of the cue with the Action Ostinato begins on a shot of Kylo's TIE Fighter flying down from the Destroyer, with Kylo Ren's Theme playing as he approaches the location of our heroes, and after Zorii gives Poe the medal they'll need to escape orbit, The Victory Theme briefly plays as he asks her to join them. Kylo Ren's Theme returns with more menace as stormtroopers are shown, but then our heroes fly to Ren's Destroyer and land in the hangar bay. Some pounding drums play as stormtroopers approach the Falcon's exit ramp, but We Go Together is used as they are able to shoot all the troopers and make their way into the Destroyer.
The full ending of this cue is only available on the FYC, because the OST segues to a different cue before this cue has finished ringing out.
A brief scene where Rey uses the Jedi Mind Trick on some stormtroopers is unscored.
FYC 08 Hallway Shooting 2:11
The group enters a new hallway and shoots out the cameras, with the pace slowing a bit as Rey realizes the Sith Dagger is on the ship and that they need it. The pace picks right back up as she takes off and Finn and Poe goes in another direction, running into Chewie and freeing him, but darker music plays as Pryde finds the Falcon. Fast music returns as Finn and Poe shoot more stormtroopers while escaping with Chewie, who finally gets a blaster to help out and The Resistance Theme plays as all three of them tear through another hallway full of trooopers, but the music takes a dark turn as Poe gets shot and the trio is captured.
Unreleased music
Rey enters Ren's quarters, with The Imperial March playing as she finds Vader's helmet, before she ultimate finds the Sith Dagger. Kylo begins a force conversation with her, the beginning of which (including him telling her that she's hard to find and her telling him that he's hard to get rid of), is unscored.
FYC 09 Hard to Get Rid Of 2:19
The music enters as she points her saber at him and he tries to tell her about her parents, with strings entering as she remembers them leaving her on Jakku and flying away in the ship they've been on. An uptick in the action plays as they duel with sabers for a bit, then quiets down as Pryde instructs some troops to terminate Finn, Poe, and Chewie. Rey and Ren's duel continues, with The Emperor's Theme entering as Ren mentions Palpatine, with tragic music underscoring flashback footage showing a Palpatine loyalist killing Rey's parents. The cue ends as Ren terminates the force conversation.
OST 08C [1:33-end] I'm The Spy 1:18
The opening of this cue is unreleased, as Ren tells a stormtrooper to relay the message to lock down his ship because he has realized Rey's in his quarters, but then the scene transitions to the trio behind held at gunpoint by Hux where the OST version of this cue begins, though almost right away about 20 sections of music JW edited out of the OST version plays as Finn and Poe talk what it was he wanted to tell Rey. The bouncy music heard on the OST begins as Hux shoots the two troopers and reveals himself to be spy, and Rey's Theme plays as she returns to the hangar bay and kills two stormtroopers talking to 3P0. Kylo Ren's Theme plays as he enters the hangar as well, and the last upbeat portion of the cue covers Finn, Poe, and Chewie racing to the hangar, with a brief snippet of Luke's Theme as Poe sees Rey in the hangar bay and says that she's a survivor. The cue ends as Hux asks Finn to shoot him in the arm, and he shoots him in the leg instead. In the film, the very end of this actually overlaps with:
FYC 10 Join Me 2:21 / OST 10 Join Me 3:42
The high string opening covers Rey and Ren approaching each other, then circling each other in the empty hangar (how did the Millennium Falcon with the rest of our heroes in it get out?) as stormtroopers file in and line the walls. The music quiets as Ren reveals that Rey is a Palpatine, with the crescendo approximately 50 seconds into the cue playing on a closeup of Rey's face as she processes the news. The Anthem of Evil theme now gets a long, slow rendition on strings as Ren walks towards Rey, as he tells her that they are a Force Dyad, backing her up against the hangar's exit into outer space as he asks her to join him in taking down the Emperor together.
Over a minute of material heard on the OST from 2:05-3:17 is entirely absent in the film. From 2:05-2:59 the music is very dramatic, and likely underscores a much longer version of their conversation (Rey's Theme appears at one point but its otherwise non-thematic). The brief outburst of action material ending with Kylo Ren's Theme from 2:59-3:17 would have underscored the Falcon showing up to save Rey, but this is replaced in the final film with 15 seconds of material tracked in from The Battle of the Resistance, which features Luke's Theme over a shot of Poe in the cockpit.
The film/FYC version and OST version are the same for the ending, with Rey's Theme playing as she jumps off of the Destroyer towards Finn, who grabs her from the Falcon's landing ramp and she boards the Falcon as the cue ends with a fanfare and they fly away.

CGCJ reacted to Jay in The Rise of Skywalker - COMPLETE SCORE Discussion - SPOILERS ALLOWED!
OK here's what happening in the film during all the music we have
I'm skipping past the prologue for now because it's such a muddled mess and I don't want to start with a bunch of confusing speculation
Any time I say "unscored" that only means the scene has no music in the final cut, we obviously have no idea if Williams actually scored some of these scenes and JJ chose not to use it
And any time I say unreleased, there's likewise no way to know if the music heard was written by JW for the scene in question or if JJ tracked it in from some place else; I'll try to mention the obvious tracking when I can but we won't be able to identify all of it until we either get all the sheets or all recordings
Without further ado..........
Unscored
After the prologue, there is no music Poe and Finn playing chess against Chewie in the Falcon, nor their arrival on the Sinta Glacier to meet Boolio.
FYC 02 Falcon Flight 2:22
The cue begins quietly as Boolio mentions there's a new spy, and becomes fast-paced on an external shot showing dozens of TIE Fighters closing in on their location. The fast-paced version of The Emperor's Theme plays as Poe looks out the window and notices all the TIEs approaching them, The Resistance Theme plays as they say goodbye to Boolio and he tells them to "Win the war", and the rest of the cue covers the action/chase sequence as they avoid the TIEs and light-speed-jump to escape, featuring The Rebel Fanfare as Finn shoots down a TIE, We Go Together as Finn and Poe simultaneously realize shooting some scaffolding (?) down will destroy some TIEs, The Resistance Theme as Poe shoots through an ice wall to escape, and the Action Ostinato and Rebel Fanfare at two points during the light-speed jumping.
Unreleased music
On Ajan Kloss, we hear The Force Theme as Rey floats and tries to connect with the Jedi of the past, followed by a straight-forward rendition of Rey's Theme when she stops levitating and lands on the ground, and then amazing new action renditions punctuate her run through the training course. The Imperial March is used as Ren is shown touching the melted mask of Vader (this sounds tracked, I think), and then there is a cue of non-thematic underscore as Rey talks with Leia.
Finn, Poe, and Chewie returning and interacting with Rey is all unscored. The next unreleased cue begins as the resistance is gathered and Poe lets them know the Emperor has returned and what his message was, which is scored with a neat unreleased and lengthy rendition of The Emperors Theme. As Rey tells Leia she knows how to find Exegol (using a Sith Wayfinder) the Force Theme is heard, followed by Rey's Theme after Leia tells her not to go but Rey says she will go anyway.
FYC 03 We Go Together 2:10 / OST 09A [0:00-2:33] We Go Together 2:33
The We Go Together Theme is introduced properly as Finn and Poe tell Rey they are going with her to find the Wayfinder, then Rey's Theme plays as she begins talking to Leia, followed by The Force Theme as she and Leia hug goodbye, followed by a big sweeping rendition of We Go Together as Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, 3P0, and BB8 all take off together.
The full ending of this cue is only available on the FYC, because the OST segues to a different cue before this cue has finished ringing out.
Unreleased music
The Knights of Ren Theme plays as the Knights reforge Kylo's mask, followed by Kylo Ren's Theme as he marches down the hallway with them to a meeting where Boolio's head is placed on a table and another unreleased rendition of The Emperors Theme as Kylo tells his crew what he found on Exegol. What sounds like tracked music plays as Kylo begins force-choking one crew member in the room.
OST 09B [2:33-end] Arrival on Pasaana 0:44
The bulk of this short cue as heard on the OST does not appear in the film at all, so likely underscored a deleted scene of some sort of conversation on board the Falcon. Only the tail end of the cue is heard as the Falcon lands on Pasaana.
Unreleased music
Source music by JJ Abrams is heard as they first check out the festival, seguing to an unreleased cue as Nyambee approaches Rey and gives her a necklace. Rey's Theme plays as she has to explain that she does not have a family name, which segues to ominous music as Rey and Kylo Ren begin their force conversation. Most of the conversation plays with no score until Kylo Ren's Theme comes in towards the end, and the pace picks up as Rey realizes he grabbed her necklace and will be able to find them. A brief pause in the music occurs when they get trapped by a stormtrooper but are saved by a masked helper, who is revealed to be Lando Calrissian as We Go Together plays. Another unreleased cue covers Lando telling them about the Sith Wayfinder he was tracking with Luke, which starts slowly but picks up when they notice First Order ships approaching, and then Leia's Theme is heard when Lando asks Rey to give Leia his love. After a brief pause, another brief, nonthematic unreleased cue begins as Poe begins to fix a speeder they can use, which leads into:
OST 05 The Speeder Chase 3:21
The cue as heard on the OST is not heard in the film, but seems to me to be written for an earlier, longer cut of this chase sequence where our heroes escape from First Order pursuer and eventually crash after killing them all and landing in quicksand. The film version features the Action Ostinato that is possibly tracked in from Falcon Flight, and some Rey's Theme as BB8 taps on a canister until it shoots out and explodes on a pursuer, as well as this cue's set-piece theme when they get another speeder to crash into a rock.
Unreleased music
No score plays as they shoot the final stormtrooper down and then fall through the quicksand, nor during a brief scene where Snap talks to Leia. Score returns as our heroes collect themselves in underground tunnels. Rey asking Finn what it was that he wanted to tell her is unscored, with music entering again as they find a speeder with Sith markings on it. The music is non-thematic as they look around and eventually find the Sith Dagger, with C3P0 letting them know he can read the location of the Wayfinder from the dagger. The rest of their conversation is unscored, with music beginning as the snake appears behind 3P0, ending as Rey gets everyone else to lower their blasters.
She approaches the snake with no music playing, but when she notices that the snake is bruised and bleeding, a nice cue begins that transitions into Rey's Theme as she sits down and The Force Theme as she heals the snake's wound. A brief unreleased cue featuring The Knights of Ren Theme plays as the Knights arrive nearby and begin looking around.
FYC 04 In the Desert 2:26
The group climbing up to the crashed ship is mostly unscored, but this cue begins as Rey realizes Kylo is nearby and tells them to get the ship working as she goes to prepare for him. The Resistance Theme is used as the rest of the group enters the ship and Poe tells everyone what to do, with some pounding drums being used for the Knights of Ren shown to be right outside. The uptick is pace comes when Finn realizes Chewie has been captured and runs to hide behind a rock, and Anthem of Evil briefly plays as the stormtroopers hold up the Sith Dagger. The cue ends quietly as Rey meditates briefly before igniting her saber as Kylo approaches.
Unreleased music
The entire scene with Kylo flying towards Rey and her jumping up and sabering his TIE is unscored, the next unreleased cue begins as Finn tells Rey that Chewie has been captured and she reaches up to use the force to pull the transporter back to the surface. A sweet unreleased version of Kylo Ren's Theme plays as he is shown to be alive, then walks towards Rey and begins force-pulling the transport himself, with the cue building towards an explosive climax as Rey's force-lightning destroys the transporter. Another short, non-thematic, unreleased cue plays as Finn yells to Rey to get her to leave with them, and then no music is heard as they are shown to be safe in an asteroid field and Rey is lamenting that she killed Chewie.
FYC 05 A Prisoner 1:23
The music begins as Poe tells her it was not her fault, and dark music plays as Rey tells Finn about her vision of being on the Emperor's throne, then the scene shifts to Hux telling Pryde they have a prisoner, which is revealed to be a not-dead Chewie as We Go Together plays.
3P0 lets the group know the dagger's inscription is in his memory bank, and Poe says he knows someone who can help on Kijimi, but he is reluctant to want to return there. This is all unscored.
FYC 06 To Kimiji 1:37
The cue begins with Poe stating he's willing to go to Kijimi, though, because Chewie will have died for nothing if they don't continue on, with We Go Together playing as the heroes all agree to conitnue the mission for Chewie. A quick fanfare version of The Knights of Ren theme plays as their ship is shown to be following them, then a warm rendition of We Go Together plays as BB8 finds and wakes up D-0, with Rey's Theme playing as he rolls over to her and Rey tells him he's with them now.

So by my calculations, there's almost 45 minutes of unreleased music heard in the final film, though it's still unclear how much of that is old recordings tracked in...

CGCJ reacted to crumbs in The Force Awakens - Complete Score Breakdown & Chronological Order (Film Spoilers Allowed)
That does help, because this list appears chronological, which answers several questions!
Light in the Snow and Flying Home is the alternate early version of this cue (audible at 3:57 above) so the cues labelled Flying Home (and possibly Old Falcon to the Rescue) are the versions heard in the film. Unclear which versions Williams recorded first. 1:15 onwards is the variety of excerpts from The Falcon Still Flies!, including unreleased/alternate sections not heard in the film or album (sigh) 0:57 - 1:10 is Kylo's Rage (a mix of the music when Kylo finds Rey escaped the torture chair, also the music when the FO begin charging the Starkiller weapon at the end of Act 2) Which means 0:11 - 0:30 is the ever-elusive Hand Opening. The first 10 seconds is difficult to hear but sounds similar to Starry Night, except this version gradually builds with very tense, uneasy strings and a punch of brass to close the cue off. I'm now convinced this is what Williams wrote for the alternate opening of Luke's severed hand slowly drifting into frame clutching a lightsaber. It's definitely not for a shot of Lor San Tekka opening his hand, the tone is way too dark. -
