  1. I'm hearing a ton of "Across the Stars" in Jyn's theme. Every time it played in the theater, that's all I could think. I honestly feel like it (Across the Stars) connects well with Jyn and her love for her Father. Obviously it's a love theme for Anakin and Padme, a very different type of love, but I think it works similarly for Jyn and her father; who is..... across the stars. Everything Jyn is doing in this film is for her father. I also link the connection to her nickname "Stardust". All the connects work too well, but who knows, maybe I'm crazy.
  2. This is very exciting! While it's still early and I can't imagine we'll hear it until the release, it's great to know the music is flowing out right at this moment. There's absolutely zero chance we get the EpVIII trailer during Rogue One. The hype would almost mess with the viewing of RO. They'll let RO do it's thing and then a few months later release a trailer. Honestly, that film doesn't even need a trailer haha.
  3. Yea I found that interesting as well. I kinda just assumed he'd really be into it and when he wasn't, it was a revelation. haha. I'm with you, Jurassic Park was my Star Wars moment. Star Wars is huge for me too of course, but at that point in my life it was only on TV or VHS. JP was a theater moment and a life changing experience. I had SW toys and enjoyed it before JP, but I was so young at that time, that it was tough to fully appreciate it's greatness. I've come to realize that of course, but JP was the one that hit me hardest... Well actually BTTF, but JP was probably the biggest overall experience.
  4. Ahh thank you for splitting it out, I guess I probably should have done that from the start. Thanks so much for the kind words on the interview everyone! I was honestly a little nervous to post it here, because I was hoping I covered everything you'd want to know / asked the right questions while speaking with Mike. These scores have been a huge passion of mine and I do love talking about them, so that definitely helped. Mike was a pleasure to speak with and yes, he definitely hyped up some future releases! I can't wait to see what they have in mind.
  5. Long time lurker and of course huge fan of JW. I absolutely love the new collection, as it's something I've been longing for since 1997. TLW score has been severely underrated and of course given a shortened 14 track OST originally... but now we can all rejoice. TLW extras have given renewed life to the score and I hope this gives it exposure to those who haven't gotten into it before. So far the "Corporate Helicopters" is my favorite addition. Amazing work by JW. I don't want this to seem like a flat out plug, but I interviewed Mike Matessino this past weekend about this collection and figured I'd give you all a heads up. Take a look if you want to: http://www.jurassicparkpodcast.com/home/2016/12/12/interview-w-mike-matessino-produced-edited-mastered-the-la-la-land-records-jurassic-park-collection-episode-77 I'll try not to lurk anymore and actually be an active participant. I've always liked coming around here.
