What do people have against Phantom Thread. It deserves Best Picture.

TLJ and TLJ although films and scores are both quite close to each other.

You all know of my obsession with the works of composer Jerry Goldsmith. Well now I'm channelling that into a new podcast with my fellow obsessives Jens Dietrich and Clark Provence (aka Douglas). We're going through Goldsmith's entire film output (and a good deal of his TV output) in chronological order...The Goldsmith Odyssey! We will be thoughtfully discussing both films and scores in detail, but not getting too technical in our discussion of either.
 
Our official Episode 1 will be on Black Patch, but we decided to give some context by first producing an Episode 0 discussing a selection of his work in live television and radio...and if you aren't familiar with any of it you *need* to give it a listen. The Highwayman in particular is amazing, 10/10 Goldsmith. Here's our official page:

I got to admit the Deluxe Edition of Chain Reaction is really positively surprising. What a kickass score! I especially like the fourth track!

WOTW has a bunch of really interesting cues left off the album. One of the highlights "Aliens" is not on the OST!

It is. Before that, there were just a few expansions here and there, almost none of them complete. But now it really started with definitive releases every year... okay, maybe it already started in 2010.

They should have expanded this instead of The Lost World. Nobody needs the crappy Jurassic Park Collection.

Would you buy a remastered OST?

It fades out too slowly.

Disney should have added 30 minutes of music to the re-release of RotJ, so each score would have been presented with the same amount of music.

With alternate names of course and inserted into the program, so that it makes a great listening experience, these tracks are missing for a proper 2LP presentation.

It is a very experimental and disturbing score and therefore I love it, but I wouldn't go that far.

Of course they are terrible, but that's not Mr. Williams fault. These pieces are simply overplayed to death.
 
I don't know what exactly you mean, but they are somehow a bit creepy.
 
Very emotional, but not over emotional, I would say. James Horner is often over emotional.
 
Yes, yes, and yes! Harry Potter 3 is for me what Star Wars 3 is for you.
 
I like TLJ way more than TFA, although I don't want to rate it objectively.

That was enough of nostalgia in the last two movies! I want a consequently new 9th episode!
