Hey ya'll,
So far, I've put the following full score performances on YouTube (using MuseScore, lol).
Reaching the Country (4m5: "Robbie Joins the Fight")
Escape from the Basket (6m1: "The Basket Scene")--includes some bars cut from the OST
The Return to Boston (6m2: "Entrance to Boston")--includes some bars cut from the OST
Watch the Lightning (not on the OST. Performed by me. I didn't bother typing this one up since it's very legible).
Surveying the Wreckage (not on the OST but in the movie)
The Cafe Scene (not on the OST. Performed by me)
Boston Street (neither in the movie nor on the OST...something JW wrote for fun, I guess, and never ended up using it for anything, Performed by me)

The following scores are available for your reading pleasure from my MuseScore page (MuseScore is awfully glitchy with typeset notation...excuse the silly redundant dynamic markings)
Reaching the Country
The Return to Boston
The Cafe Scene
Boston Street
The Basket Scene

Enjoy!

All of these are essentially copy-and-paste from John Williams' hand-written sketch scores.
NOTE: Let me know if any of you guys have any studio scores/sketch scores to any of these: The Ferry Scene, The Attack on the Car, The Intersection Scene, or Escape from the City, or the "Epilogue." I don't have these and I want to type them up!

You're inaccurately transcribing the music? Without the actual scores as a reference, I don't see any value in this project.
Both an incomplete and a complete set of cues is floating around. You should be able to find the former at a certain Final Fantasy Shrine ...
I probably should have stated that I have most of the sketch scores from the film
I have only the 100 page handwritten sketch scores. I'll check out other places to see if I can find some other stuff too.
What I do not have (sketch scores or typeset) are:
The Ferry Scene
The Intersection Scene
Attack on the Car
The Confrontation with Ogilvy (I have the string intro, just not the rest of the cue)
Escape from the City
(basically all of the cool action cues! Ugh!)

I'm starting a little project that involves piecing together all of the cues (used and unused) from Williams' "War of the Worlds" as orchestral arrangements.
There are 2 ways I'm going about this: using my Roland FA-08 to record the small cues (2 minutes or less, often unreleased in the movie or the OST) and using MuseScore to do the bigger things (The Ferry Scene, Reaching the Country, etc). Either way, expect to see typeset scores.
I post most of my stuff to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN6on8a9f8CWhvtxBUCA9rg
If the link doesn't work, just find YouTube username Zachary Larson.
This film score is so bewilderingly beautiful and deep that it cannot go underappreciated--this score needs to be on the same level as his Star Wars stuff. I am determined to make that happen.
Best,
Zach

War of the Worlds scores!

Hi all,
A year and a half ago, I began a project in which I began typesetting all of John Williams' cues from his 2005 movie "War of the Worlds." Most of them are done in PreSonus software called 'Notion.'
If you'd like to see the full scores to awesome action cues like The Intersection Scene, The Ferry Scene, Escape from the City, Attack on the Car, etc. check out my YouTube channel (which is almost half as popular as the Antique Milk Bottle Collecting channel!)
A lot of this was done using my musical ear and using his sketch scores as a guide.
Here's my latest two: Escape from the City (not the soundtrack version; the film version)
and Epilogue
Enjoy! My channel has a bunch of cues from War of the Worlds, a lot of which aren't in the film.
