  1. So far the only John Ottman score I can get into. Which is a shame, as I would also hope Lake Placid could have provided some delights (though it serves the film nicely).
  2. Bruce Broughton's Mickey Donald and Goofy in The Three Musketeers.
  3. Ferdinand by John Powell Madrid Finale is my favorite cue of 2017, okay? Okay. Hoosiers by Jerry Goldsmith The syth kind of makes this feel a little too sci-fi sometimes, but it's not really bothersome for the CD listening experience. If anything, I often find syth in Goldsmith scores to be charming and just part of giving the score its color. My absolute favorite moment in this score, oddly enough, is actually the final few seconds of the final cue. I don't know why, just something those final few notes as the music softly fades to be tear-inducing every time.
  4. Perhaps the story is told non-chronologically? Like Memento? I don't know that, I never saw that movie. Or maybe this tracklist is bullcrud.
  5. Because I like Powell. I have issues. ;D (Also, I recall Mars Attacks had an isolated score on the DVD)
  6. I can't believe I'm going to sit through this just for Powell's sake...at least, I intend to. This turning out to be good isn't an impossibility, but it is an unlikelihood. BUT I AM SO READY FOR A POWELL STAR WARS SCORE
  7. Agent Cody Banks by John Powell Certainly better than that other James Bond homage score from the early 2000's in every way.
  8. Rey and Rose Meet and Fall in Love and then Rose Dies Because Ha Ha This is a Mainstream Movie Lesbians Aren't Allowed Happy Endings
  9. Agreed, but Maleficent was one of the greatest "impulse buys" I ever made. Didn't read any reviews in advance, it was long before I ever joined this forum, couldn't care less what the movie was like. I just felt like hearing a JNH score, the CD was at Barnes & Noble, and I grabbed it on a whim. Maleficent Suite began and it's been my favorite of his ever since.
  10. Who cares about a score for a presumably crappy movie? Bad movies NEVER have great scores! Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta get back to listening to The Swarm and Agent Cody Banks. I agree with the 'too much music is better than too little' myself, but lawsey, I was ready to punch a hole in the wall by the time Intrada's presentation of Baby's Day Out finally ended.
  11. Original Score Composed and Conducted by John Powell. Cue Titles by Michael Giacchino Score Mixing by Dan Wallin (oh god please no)
  12. I thought Giacchino was the pun guy, not Powell...heck, Powell can get fairly creative with cue titles considering he has to split up his scores into 34 freakin' tracks to save on choir fees. Or whatever that business was about. Something like that.
