Unfortunately the films that Poledouris worked on are not very familiar to me. Here is my promise to look further into your work in the future.

Remembering the fun times...

With your favorite orchestrator.

I think he's had some work done on his hairline. I seem to recall that at one point it was seriously thinning and receded, but then it was suddenly regrown, albeit with the appearance of a realistic matured hairline.
His voice is so much deeper these days, like Frank Oz.
I thought the same days ago. Like Zimmer and Brian Tyler applying botox here and there.
As for the voice, it seems to have weakened a bit. But it is normal with aging.
About two years I worried about his weight. He was so thin (Burton too). I thought he was sick. But he is recovering.

Since the days of the Oingo Boingo. At least it was the justification he gave to finalize the band's activities.

Titanic doesn't even get an honourable?
No.
I've always had a problem with Titanic. Not with the score, but with the movie.
My mom made me watch so many times or something. I don't even remember.
It's a wonderful score, the even with the movie. I like the scene with the ship sinking. But, I do not know why, I avoid almost all about it.
It's situation weird, I know.

They are more tragic. They work best with the character.

Probably Superman theme material will be Williams-Zimmer. In the interview Elfman says that JW Superman's March will only appear in a certain scene of 2 minutes. Wonder Woman will get what she has. Batman, on the other hand, for what he says, will have a new theme that will be reminiscent of what he wrote in 1989.

Our dear pilot composer: Horner.

Quote
“[Luke] made a huge mistake in thinking that his nephew was the chosen one, so he invested everything he had in Kylo, much like Obi-Wan did with my character,” Hamill says. “And he is betrayed, with tragic consequences. Luke feels responsible for that. That’s the primary obstacle he has to rejoining the world and his place in the Jedi hierarchy, you know? It’s that guilt, that feeling that it’s his fault, that he didn’t detect the darkness in him until it was too late.”

Maybe it's not impossible ...

Another chosen one?
hahaha
this rumor has appeared a while ago and many people have hated it.
Yet....
it will all depend on how they will tell this story.
it's a little scary
but it might be better than the idea of her being Luke's daughter.
but at the same time it is horrible. because we have a "demigod" and this is an outdated concept and was the worst thing they did with the prequel trilogy.Let her be Luke's or Leia's daughter.
is less painful. -

I will I say I did like how open and honest Horner was about current film-scoring in any interview I read of him a few years back.
a YouTube interview in which he is with your blue scarf?

Yeah but in the OT they were pretty much the only characters that were wooden and awkward - the supporting characters (Vader, Tarkin, Obi-Wan, Lando, the Emperor, Yoda etc) were all very colourful and offset the bland leads. Almost every character who appears in the PT has the same dead-eyed expression spouting the same awkward dialogue.
The same with the scenarios. The of TFA are a bad copy of the first movie in all situations. Zero creativity.

He is very guilty. Your main plagiarists are protected and encouraged by HIM.

Its simple.
End of the Zimmer company.
End of the Zimmer period

His work is good, effective and he has given us some interesting stuff over the last 15 years... his name will be more and more frequent in the next decade, then... is normal. Even me, i've never seen lost
, since ratatouille, have a eye on what he does.

A funny and very Han Solo situation anyway.

1. Williams (our entire cinematography life summarized in all your discography )
2. Horner & Goldsmith (so many wonderfull scores)
3. Steiner & Barry (masters)
4. Ennio Morricone (audacious compositions)
5. Elfman & Zimmer (cool modern guys)

It is not that what is written is not true, but the author says he wrote the article after the public "outraged" created the hashtag #StopHansZimmer. This hashtag did not exist until the article was published.
That smells like publicity.

We left the original trilogy for the most insecure trilogy and the one with the most frightening resolutions for which will surely be one of the safest and at the same time boring of the whole history of SW.

JNH will have your chance. Maybe it will not be long before that happens. Fact is that our previous impression that Giacchino will take care of all the future movies of the franchise was wrong. They will bring out several other composers.
I like it. It honors and respects at the same time the JW's legacy.
I assume that the reluctance to accept the work is motivated by the departure of Desplat (a respectable composer) and of so many other professionals involved with the movies. It is frightening to be fired from a project with so much visibility.

Earliest Film Score Memories?
in General Discussion

The "first" times I realized the music in the movies was in "Batman Returns", "The Jurassic Park" and "Jaws". I wanted own all them. I was very young at the time, but the theme for the Batman, Penguin, the dinosaurs park and the motif for the shark haunted my dreams and nightmares for weeks.
