Fargo reacted to wtrz in Laura Karpman - Marvel's What If...?
The first track was also released as a single a few days before the album, not sure if that's affected too.
I made a post over in The Marvels thread about Voices of Aladna disappearing a while ago, glad to see I wasn't the only one who cared about it! Also saw a tweet about Voices of Aladna about a month ago saying she'd look into it, guessing that hasn't gone anywhere. I think it might have something to do with the lyrics/poetry her niece did for those cues, but totally just speculating.
Regarding What If S2... I'm hoping this is a sampler album of sorts, rather than the only thing we get. Really wanted to hear the Kahhori material outside of the episode.

Fargo got a reaction from GerateWohl in AHSOKA - 2023 Star Wars TV
I agree, Ezra’s character was great in my opinion. Good implementation of humor that didn’t feel forced, and pretty charming. I wouldn’t mind him having his own show, maybe teaming up with our ol’ buddy Mando at some point.
I liked a good majority of the other characters (Hera & Thrawn I thought were great). Absolutely bored to death whenever Sabine and Ahsoka were onscreen together.

Fargo got a reaction from TSMefford in Netflix's One Piece (Live Action 2023) - Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli
Just finished season 1, I thought it was super enjoyable, if a bit silly and strange at times. Very excited for season 2. I tried to read a bit of the OG manage and some of the cartoon on Netflix - not really for me I guess haha. But the live action show was easier to get into.
I see the composers for the soundtrack also did The Witcher - is that worth a listen to? I've never seen the show or listened to it before.

Fargo reacted to Knight of Ren in Netflix's One Piece (Live Action 2023) - Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli
Yeah, both scores are great in their own ways, but One Piece is much more approachable, even if a bit too long. The Witcher has some really strong themes and a great use of voices and folk instruments, but the album length and the mess of chronological order makes it a bit harder to enjoy. A shorter playlist is definitwly recommended, but it's also a great score!

Their work on One Piece is much more approachable than their work on The Witcher.
The album for The Witcher is also very long, but is a bit harder to get through imo. I've cut down the album to 80 minutes, which I think works better.
The most impressive thing about The Witcher score is that they created a sound that is now so linked with the show.

Just finished the album today (over four hours!) and it was just so good. Along with the praise the show is getting, I'm convinced to give it a watch starting tonight

Fargo got a reaction from tee_oh in AHSOKA - 2023 Star Wars TV
My main takeaways from the first two episodes:
The opening “Raiders” scene with Ashoka was really drawn out and seemed like they were just padding the runtime. Did we need to see her do the same thing three times to those little pillars to line them up? What’s the point?
The scene with Hera & Chopper chasing the ship was my favorite. Super fun and felt the most “Star Wars-y”.
There was a scene with Hera and Sabine talking, and was the laziest directing/editing I’ve seen in a show recently - 100% just a shot-reverse shot of a conversation that lasted forever. No camera movement, no character movement, no style - just a dry exposition dump.
Everything else was fine. The two red-saber baddies have good presence, and I love the performance of the male dark Jedi.

Fargo got a reaction from iamleyeti in Nicholas Hooper’s Harry Potter Scores Are Extremely Underrated. What Happened to Him?
IMO
The “Dumbeldore’s Army / Room of Requirements” theme is Hooper’s best for the series, and a highlight of OOTP. The rest of the album is insanely boring.
HBP is overall a better score (and film) and benefits from the darker mood. But still quite boring overall.
JW >>> Doyle >> Hooper > Desplat
Strange to see bashing of Doyle’s GOF - some good themes and action pieces in there if I remember right.
I have an irrational dislike for DH part 1 (film and score). Can’t properly put into words how much I dislike the music for that film. Part 2 benefit forms more action music. 🤷♂️

If it’s her theme, and if she’s a villain, then it’s a villain theme. That’s mathematics, bruh.

Saying I’ve never been able to connect with GOF is not bashing.
