Being given away free outside the Concert Hall!!

We often take JW for granted but listening to this score reminds me of how he is categorically cemented as the greatest composer of our times.. the expression and colour in his pallet when he writes for orchestra is unparalleled in my mind. The way he can completely alter your understanding of a cue just by adding something so simple as violas sustaining one note. And it’s always the right note for the feeling of the scene!! Always!! And I’ve not seen the film but listening to this score with the Atmos mix and headphones attaches you to motifs and makes you treat them as characters in themselves, so when he writes his harmonic/melodic/rhythmic variations on these ideas with all their twists and turns, it makes you root for the motifs/feel the motifs are in peril/ smile when they are presented in a full, strong orchestration. Tuk tuk is a great example of this with what he does with Helena’s motif. Always with an undertone of fun and not taking itself too seriously which is exactly what the Jones franchise should be. GENIUS!!

I once had a dream where I and a few friends were invited into a room where there might be "someone of great interest to you," so we went in, and it was John's piano room. He was super welcoming, spoke to us all in a really relaxed way. He played a few tunes for us that he was working on (hah! My brain has the audacity to try and come up with new williams material in my sleep!) and we were flicking through his leather bound scores. I suggested some re-recordings of older scores should happen and he said he thought that was a great idea. 
 
Then, he said... "oh, there are some drinks over there, please... help yourselves." He sat down on the sofa, kicked off his slippers and I went over to get a drink. All he had was warm cans of shitty lager. And I thought to myself... "oh my god, John drinks Fosters?!?!"

Woke up devastated. How could you do me like that John. Unbelievable. 

Last night I met John Williams in my dream. We were sitting together at a piano with some others (who ever, don't remember) and trying to figure out the chords for Mancini's "Moon River". We were progressing veeeery slow and discussing what a genius Mancini was and how great the song is. After some time John Williams said, that he needs a rest because he is on his feet now since 40 hours. At saying good night and wishing him a good rest I woke up.
 
I don't know, if this was the first time I dreamed of John Williams. But this time I remembered it and thought, maybe some others here also dream about John Williams from time to time. So, if anybody likes to share his most recent or funniest dream about John Williams can tell it here.
 
And if now anyone wants to tell me, "Why would JW have issues to figure out the chords of Moon River? He would know them in his sleep." I say, I know, but... this was a dream, you know. It does not have to make any sense.
