Jurassic Shark reacted to Nick1Ø66 in What's The Last Book You Read?
The mystery and plot is stand alone. But the relationship between the two leads has been ongoing and developing since the first book. So while it might be beneficial to have that perspective, most of what happened between them is covered in exposition, and I don't think it's necessary to understand & enjoy the book.

For @Chen G..
- Were you thinking about that at the time?
- Yes.
See, George did think things through.

Jurassic Shark reacted to OneBuckFilms in James Horner's LEGENDS OF THE FALL - 2020 Intrada 2CD set
For me, I cannot recall the specific cue names, but the instances of Tristan's theme that emerge at key points and beautiful, especially when he's at peace, which is rare in the narrative.
It is such a cohesive whole to me as a score that pointing out specific hilights does an injustice in a sense.

Star Wars Returns to Theaters for 50th Anniversary | StarWars.com
So the leaks were indeed true, the theatrical cut of Star Wars is returning to theaters!
Considering we already know about the other two films being worked on, I guess those'll likely either be returning to theaters as well, or at least releasing in some form (4K boxset please!)

There's also another version of the same massive painting on display at the Munch Museum in Oslo. If you get the audio guide (which is something I recommend), they tell you all of the interesting historical facts and trivia related to the work.

That magnificent picture at the center of the room is The Sun by Edvard Munch, if anyone wondered, and shows a sunrise over a Southern Norwegian archipelago. It's on permanent display in Oslo University. A very high res version can be downloaded from the university here, for non-commercial use:

Umm, so Mulholand Drive is on, I'm about halfway through and urm...yeah, what was I going to say? Something about the plot perhaps? Yeah, something...something about that. was what I was going to say. Probably. I guess.

Jurassic Shark reacted to Tom in The King and Queen of Norway treated to a performance of John Williams' Merry Christmas
I think that all 4 songs are great. Yes, the lyrics of Merry Christmas are tacky, but all four songs have similar lyrical limitations. Merry Christmas is not far inferior to the others, at least in my opinion. Plus, why complain at all when Williams is being performed?

Jurassic Shark reacted to Biodome in The King and Queen of Norway treated to a performance of John Williams' Merry Christmas
The Kaunas State Choir is visiting Oslo in order to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Norway and Lithuania. Yesterday, they held a concert at the University of Oslo's Aula, with the local student choir, Chorus Mixtus, hosting the event and also joining them in the programme.
Notably, the King and Queen of Norway were also among the audience, and the public had to follow the required etiquette, both arriving early (before the King and Queen), and leaving late (after the King and Queen had left).
Most of the pieces focused on two composers: the Lithuanian Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and the Norwegian Edvard Grieg. However, there were also a few pieces from other composers, most notably Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas by John Williams.
I thought it was interesting to see how ubiquitous the piece had become when it comes to festive concerts, even at the highest diplomatic level and formal occasions such as these.
Here is a video fragment of the performance:
