  1. If anyone is interested, here is my report of the concert. https://soundtrackworld.com/2017/12/star-wars-in-concert-amsterdam/
  2. I had to miss Chamber of Secrets because of Holidays :-/ But The 3rd movie will be in January!
  3. Hmm, I cannot remember any problems with the performance of the concert I attended in 2012 in Antwerp.
  4. Oh of course, I forgot how YouTube live streaming worked. Thanks :-)
  5. Ah thanks! Yes that was it! So the conclusion is that is not on the score right? I have been in the film music business for more than 10 years now and I have no idea what "tracked' means
  6. There was a hint of Man of Steel in the movie. I could not find it back on the score though.
  7. Overall a great concert. I agree with most that has been said. Like missing the choir, loving The Astroid Field and enjoying Mars. In the train ride home I will start writing a full report.
  8. I am looking forward to the FF suite. I have been a fan of that score for a long time.
  9. .. also no Prince of Tides in Hamburg. So the audience who received the second encore was very lucky!
  10. My list is probably pretty different :-) Joe Hisaishi John Powell Abel Korzeniowski Michael Giacchino Ramin Djawadi Of course, it does not mean that I do not like composers like John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner. But personally, this top 5 grabs me the most.
  11. In my point of view, it is gambling, because the "something" you mentioned is often filler items you do not want or need. So you want to buy more. I am not interested in the Trumpet overlay of track 5 if I already have it for example. I almost had the urge to gamble for more boxes for that reason in Overwatch. I would prefer that I could just buy that cosmetic item in Overwatch that I want instead of buying and opening virtual blind boxes and hoping for the item that I want to pop out. I understand your point of view. The US agrees with your statement, and a lot of European countries (and Austrailia?) agree with mine.
  12. What I have heard from my Polish friends is that the price was too steep for them. To give an impression: below a clip of the same sports arena in Krakow, it is completely packed. Polish people LOVE film music! The Krakow film music festival tickets for several concerts were cheaper than the prices for the James Newton Howard concert.
  13. This weekend the Dutch Philharmonic will perform a concert that includes a lot of music from Star Wars. It is in one of the best venues we have here in the Netherlands. They just announced that the concert will be streamed live on the internet: Streams: https://www.facebook.com/NedPhO.NKO/videos/1612478478808509/?fref=mentions www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBmJV91-7ps The concert starts at 20:15 CEST (11:15 AM PST) Source (in Dutch): https://www.facebook.com/events/459958841014762/ I will not be listening to the streams because I will be in the audience ;-)
  14. No that is what they did in the past. Nowadays for those extra's you have to buy a blind CD with some random tracks on it and hope those ones you are still missing are on there. This is seen as gambling, which children have access to. Since it is Star Wars, gamble associations across Europe finally took notice of it and we will see what the future holds. About the 300 million dollars: It is Star Wars.. it sells :-)
  15. Warsaw did not have Prince of Tides either last night. I have a lot of friends all over Europe. ;-) In Poland the concerts were apparently also too expensive, from what I have heard. The venues were all very empty.. The concerts were very enjoyable nonetheless.
  16. I know they played it in Antwerp and did not play it in Krakow (Poland) and Amsterdam.
