Caliburn

I have been following film music concerts in the Netherlands for a while now, and I have never seen or heard "the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra" and "film music" in one sentence. Their venue is amazing though.

So sad. It was such an amazing show. Very original to go back to puppets. The music was fantastic and I am a bit sad we will not be getting new music.

Apparently I am a minority here. I think the score showcases a good example of writing brilliant music for a film.

During that piece 8 French Horns were playing   It was amazing!

I guess both. It is well used in this movie, and I consider "Battle Adagio" from Rambo (2008), which I call the veteran theme,  a good piece of music.

It has been a while, but my gut tells me that the subtitles were only  in German during the alien conversations.

Thanks for the suggestion, sadly not stateside :-) I have found a copy on a Dutch webshop. It is currently "being processed"

I just finished my report of the Film Music Festival in Krakow, Poland, where he was one of the main guests. He conducted his own concert on Saturday, and on Sunday he supported the Traffic Quintet (founded by his wife) for a more intimate concert. He was also willing to sign items after his meet and greet. Fallout is a score, that is like a cockroach and refuses to die.

More than the Dark Phoenix score that I am reviewing at the moment.

About Fallout. I did not wanted to review the score, because I did not like it as a stand alone album. I prefer to spend time on scores that I do like. But I also heard the "it works in the movie" argument, so I decided after seeing the movie to review it:

I attended a Goblet of Fire Live to Projection concert in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It was a weird feeling to listen to Doyle's music instead of John Williams. It was a different, but still an amazing experience.
