They're available online as @michael_grig has pointed out, and also some are going to be published in a special edition of a new academic journal next year!
Sweet! What's the journal called? /is there a website, or call for papers?

Cool! It's great to get these things down on paper.
I'm currently figuring out the harmonies in preparation for a piano arrangement of Helena's theme. Most of your labellings look correct to me, though I hear some things differently. For line 2, I hear something like:
So bar 2 I would say is Ab9 -> Em/G
And bar 4 I think is just Ab diminished -> D.
As for line 3 bar 4, is the 2nd beat F(b6)? (b6 as in Db?) I just hear F (or FMaj7 at most).
I also agree with @filmmusic that A is leading up to the main "first subject" which is A'.
(P.S. I just love the elusive, luscious harmonies in this theme...JW knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned)
I would be very interested in the piano arrangement when you're done! I can trade you an advanced Marion's Theme.

It'd be fun to create a parody alt account on the forum with the persona of only posting well-known Williams anecdotes/factoids as if they're obscure. I'd use the Michael Caine catch-phrase "Not many people know that" and maybe with Caine as the avatar to encourage people to read the posts in his voice.
"Fun fact: The ending parade music in The Phantom Menace is actually the Emperor's theme in disguise. Not many people know that."
Not many people know that when Spielberg showed JW Schindler's List, ...

Just saw it again. It feels much quicker the second time, in a good way. This should win for editing honestly.
But I did have to drive half an hour outside of the major city I live in!

Does anyone think this is going to connect with anyone in a general audience? (Serious question. I have no idea.)
I went with my brother, who enjoys probably all the Spielberg movies he's seen, but is by no means a "film person." He loved it. He was raving about the exact things that I wanted to compliment before I even said anything.
I think there are a lot of layers to appreciate in this movie. It hit us both as intensely personal but in the best sense, like a well-crafted life's work project. And at the same time, it hit on raw, relatable themes of growing up and pursuing dreams and navigating family. Very real and authentic. This all sounds fairly pretentious- but like I said, it impacted my aggressively un-pretentious brother in the same way.

I don't understand.
This "presentation" will be done by physical presence in the conference or by zoom meeting or something?
I would guess in person, but there may be a virtual option. At least that's what I've seen similar conferences do recently.

Well that slipped under our radars. Hopefully someone will give a report.
It wasn't even on the DSO website! And the program said music from rise of skywalker, but didn't say anything like "premiere of the suite". You'd think they would have made it a bigger deal.
-
So this was barely advertised at least from what I've seen, but apparently the DSO did a Star Wars concert at Meadow Brook last night (over in Rochester MI) and they premiered the Rise of Skywalker suite. A musician I know snapped a pic of the part and it's JW. Was anyone there? Any details? Any cell phone in pocket snippets? Apologies if this was discussed elsewhere, I didn't find a thread on it yet!

It says they have "0 available" when I try to buy. That can't possibly be true, right? It's only been two hours

I actually hate this post JUST for the "Isolated Scores" part, since that's all I saw before clicking -

Meh. Goofy villains, goofy danger, goofy character development*, and a climax that essentially consists of the Doctor going "trust me" and a couple of moments later explaining to the Daleks that they've been lured into a trap and have now lost.

Apparently, the Doctor has been in prison for decades, but all her "fam" goes on about is how she's left them on their own for 10 months.
And is it just me or did they never actually acknowledge the fact that all of humanity was wiped out during the previous 2-part finale and it was never fixed?

Sorry but I'm old-fashioned, I still love my CD collection. I have a lot of digital-only soundtracks that I wish were on CD.
Agreed. Call me old-fashioned but CDs are practically the only thing I listen to in my car. It's also the best way to memorize an album.

I had a look in this resurrected thread as I assumed someone had revisited the score after a few years and had written some thoughts. What a nice surprise!
I stayed subscribed to it for this reason, but thought it would never happen!
John Powell's HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD (2019) - 2024 Varese Deluxe Edition
in General Discussion

I'm curious if anyone else feels the Hidden World DE has a really weird EQ (esp. compared to the OST). Granted, I've only listened in my car so far, but it seems like the modern smiley-face EQ is fairly exaggerated on this album. Missing a lot of the mids.
I really noticed it when I got to my favorite little trumpet part at the end of Armada battle (7:33 of ost). People have pointed out the brass richness in Powell's scores, and I miss that on the DE. This type of EQ definitely fatigues the ear faster as well. There's less clarity between layers and it's already very dense.
