  1. As horrid as it seems, everyone must’ve had doubts about his appearance at this concert. It understandably is a worry for anyone, especially Mr Williams... Health can deteriorate quickly at such a grand age, so it was anyone’s guess. There’s still life in the old boy yet though!
  2. Some of the proms are. It doesn’t really go well with the acoustics of the building. However my friend told me that they recently updated the sound system in the RAH to a better one, so!
  3. Where about were you sat? I was interested as to whether anyone else was there who is on the JW Forum
  4. I was there for Raiders too. I loved the Adventures of Mutt interlude between acts. Sad to be missing out on JP
  5. They have a kind-of point. Where would the cameras go if all the seats are booked up/ sold? BBC Proms has a designated area on the arena floor to hold cameras/camera flying etc
  6. Funnily I looked up his dear friend Dudamel the other day- sadly he is conducting another concert in Berlin on the same day, so no chance of it being Dudamel if there is a guest MC
  7. I imagine if there was a guest conductor it would have been announced alongside the show/part of the concert itself, or at least I like to think so... However, John Williams I’m sure did a concert by himself earlier this year in February, although I’m not quite sure where (Philadelphia?), so perhaps it will be purely Williams at the Albert Hall. Or perhaps there will be a guest conductor for the first half, which I’m sure will be fine for most of the JWFanners, but I could understand how it may divide opinion..
  8. Hi Hans Zimmer, Could you be more specific when you say "music man". Also, please don't abuse our warm community and lovely forum. tmarps
  9. They’re not visible if you’re not a priority member. Priority people can view the seating arrangements and see and select the choir seats.
  10. Poe’s Theme - although it has similar harmonic language to The Adventures of Han, so we kind of already half have it ..
  11. Something I’ve considered for a while is a tour of the Albert Hall on the afternoon of the concert, with a chance of seeing Williams rehearsing the concert with the LSO that afternoon. Does this interest anybody?
  12. I wonder if the London Symphony Orchestra will return to do Empire next year at the Albert Hall. They’re not touring the UK with Star Wars, understandably. I wonder if they have done any other LTP concerts recently, I don’t recall the LSO being up for these kinda gigs.
  13. They’re oddly doing Indiana Jones right in the middle of their tour too in Birmingham
