OMG I got choir tickets!!! 5 rows up but basically looking right at him when he's conducting. I could not be more excited about this!! (I did the Friends and Patrons thing as not doing that last time was what cost me my chance lol) - but seriously... £45 each to be in the perfect spot. I'm flabbergasted here.

Thanks to whoever posted in here about them releasing more, because without you I would not have even known about this! THANK YOU.

I wasn't planning on paying extra. Then on Wednesday around noon I started thinking to myself "I wonder whether they do the early priority tickets for this". Just thought it is friggin' John Williams and it might not happen again. So I did it then and there. And it was bit stressful because wi-fi at work is bit crap and the tickets kept disappearing before I could add them to my basket. But yeah, I wasn't planning on that at all. It was a bit of an impulse really.

Yeah... that was my exact thought too. I was thinking "pfft, I'm not paying almost 50 quid on top! That's ridiculous.  It'll be fine! I've been in the queue since 9am on the dot!" (not realising people on this board had been somehow queuing since like 8am or something)

    Now I'm like "WHY DIDN'T I PAY THE £45!??!??!?!!! 😭 😭 😭"

I would implore the likes of @Incanus, @hornist and anyone else who was unlucky this morning not to despair.  Karol is right, as mentioned before many of the boxes at the Royal Albert Hall are privately owned so you find that box seats are randomly released for general sale in the weeks and months before the concert, generally without any fanfare or warning.  It is therefore worth checking the website every day (do not just rely on sales being announced on Twitter or wherever).

Also, did anyone buy a Gallery standing ticket?  No?  Then I reckon it is almost a 100% certainty that they will release Gallery tickets (numbering several hundred) in the coming weeks.  There is no way they will leave a whole section empty when the rest of the hall has sold out.  If anyone was wishing to attend on their own, I suggest ringing the RAH box office on 020 7589 8212 and asking if there are any 'fifth seats' in the second tier boxes available for sale.  I have no idea if there are, but it is surely worth a try and you might get one with a perfectly good view opposite the stage.

If they do not sell all the 'fine dining' boxes at exorbitant prices, you can also bet that the seats will come up for general sale at normal prices close to the date of the concert.  I appreciate that those from overseas also have travel considerations and no doubt need to know for definite whether or not they have a ticket, but please don't give up!  And don't pay touts for tickets at inflated prices either!

I will randomly check the website whenever I remember and post here if I see any tickets available in the coming weeks and months.  I am here to offer hope to the JW Fan massive.

There is no LAW against it, and it's how capitalism works. Still, it doesn't mean that one should follow it blindly. There's one thing called solidarity, and if one -- just for a moment -- imagines oneself without a ticket, and how it would feel if people charged double prices and beyond (for a ticket that is already expensive to begin with), the choice shouldn't be so difficult.

Next time, it's you on the other side of the fence. Karma and all that.

Again, I think a great number people will have to cancel, and then resell their ticket for the price they paid. Not double. Most people are not profiteers. But it requires being alert on film music forums, social media etc. to be there when that or those persons announce their cancellation, of course.

Having to queue online is ridiculous anyway. And releasing several concerts all at once at the same time was idiotic. It was easier for me to get tickets for Chicago and Baltimore for Williams than it was in my own country for London...

Though we English do like a bloody queue.
