  1. Simple question: are you coming to Vienna?
  2. Not me. I still love his wonderful playing of the guitar.
  3. After reading the entries to this topic over the weekend, I just wanted to make clear that I'm not going to stalk the maestro. I was just curious where he is going to stay. Also curious about his travel (privat jet or first/business in a scheduled flight) and overall schedule. Who will travelling with him (his wife? Management? Private doctor maybe?) Is he going to stay in Europe for some days, etc. Anyway, reading some topics in this forum over the years, I somehow had the feeling that it's not that difficult to move to the dressing room after the concert and ask for an autograph, but that might have changed within the last years. I also have the feeling, that people are getting more egoistic each year and the internet is likely to boost the hype on Williams. Still remember the times, when I thought I'm the only one who listens to this kind of music on a regularly basis.
  4. Any guess where JW is going to stay in Vienna? At the Imperal?
  5. It's marked in red below, under the word "Balkon". So they are next to each other.
  6. Although I didn't succeed in 2018 with tickets for the RAH, as I recognized the whole thing too late, I very much liked their "queuing-mode". One has at least the feeling, that everything is going a civilized way. With Musikverein, it feels like a bunch of people trying to squeeze through a door at the same time. Survival of the fittest...
  7. Still very sad and disappointed about this mornings experience... Not so much about ending without a ticket, but about the overall process watching a website doing nothing. How is this working? Is it just about fast internet speed? Does distance, geographically, makes a difference? I would have prefered an email kind of "You bought tickets for 2018, so you are able to buy this time before the general public"... Still thinking that there are still tickets there, that will be released. Is there anyone who bought tickets right on Tuesday morning? Was it able to select tickets from the entire hall?
  8. I would also rather see another concert with the LSO than with the VPO. But that's just a guess of course. Both concerts are now Sold Out...
  9. I don't see the reason for this. In 2018, there were still tickets available some day after the sale starts. Do you think it's because the "missing" concert in the RAH, that all fans are travelling to Vienna?
  10. It says "Restkarten" (some single tickets) are available at the box office before the concert (if tickets return)... I think both are sold out for the moment...
  11. I think I will wait for Thursday. Let's be optimistic. And I have asked a friend of mine who plays at the Vienna Philharmonic for an backup if all seats are gone. So, in addition, I'm sure that not all seats are released for sale at the moment, e.g. 2018 my friend told me that the VPO had reserved 200 tickets to buy for themselves and friends; I think it was per concert, not in total. Not sure of course, how many of them have been purchased and how many have been released in the end.
  12. I might be interested, but wouldn't that be very complicated?
  13. The last time it didn't sell that fast. There were even seats available some days after the sale started. Is there anything different this time? Would like to avoid the EUR75 membership if possible.
  14. I heard rumors of the performance of a new concert work by JW in autumn 2019 in Vienna with percussionist Martin Grubinger. As I understood, this is going to be at the Konzerthaus Vienna with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, but unfortunately NOT conducted by JW. The source of information is reliable, so I'm really confident that the information is correct. Looking forward! 😀
  15. Like me and it's even much closer, only 2.20h by train, although I have the feeling that the overall atmosphere will be more enthusiastic at the RAH. Musikverein feels more conservative... But let's see
  16. I hope all those buying extra tickets (for any concert) and trying to make a profit out of it that nobody will buy the tickets at these prices and that they have a nice loss of money
  17. Got mine as well at 9 am. See you there on Sunday. Still some places free.
  18. GBP 13 online and GBP 14 at the counter for adults; different rates for groups https://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/tours-and-exhibitions/grand-tour/
  19. Anyone looking for a cheap "Lincoln FYC" from 2012? Here are some for sale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/262755854904 PS: I'm not the seller, but just ordered one for me. Still looking for the "Warhorse FYC" at a reasonable price, but this is usually about $200...
