redishere got a reaction from Potter Scoring Project in New Project: John Williams Potter Scoring
Love the end credits! You did a tremendous job.
Also, I can't wait to hear the restored GOF!

It’s been three years since releasing our first cue and announcing the project, so we figured we’d pause to ring in our third birthday with a rather nostalgic announcement: we are finally restoring GOF!
Daily updates are already happening on our Patreon, and you can soon hear the new revised restored and remastered cues there! Exact release dates on our website are TBD because of the crazy start to the semester right now, but we want our patreon people to be able to see how things are going even when we're not posting.
Thank you all SO much for listening, it's truly meant the world to us over the years to have people actually enjoying this project. As always, stay tuned for more!

It's intermission! This is the last cue for the first half of Deathly Hallows.
We hope you enjoy Cue No. 33: End Credits!

It's really amazing what you accomplished so far: you basically gave life to something I wish existed. If there was a way to travel to alternate universe, I'll definitely go to the one in which JW composed all 7 (well, eight) scores for HP Can't wait for the complete score!
By the way, I love the fact that whenever a scene is near the Ministry you seem to go back to the Minority Report sound: cue 12 of Deathly Hallows instantly reminded me of Saving The Eye, then I read the description and discovered it was (of course) intentional. Great work!

@redishere Thanks for checking back! We've been having such a great time with DH1 and are happy you're excited about it too!
@bored Thank you! As a super big Voldemort fan (musically), writing this ending was awesome cause I didn't need to find any sort of creative way to do Leaving Hogwarts. Just pure evil laughing as I wrote the finale. And I also got to use organ so that was a personal win.

The end credits are coming, we promise! For today we have this movie's first concert work, "The Deathly Hallows," which is also the first 3.5 minutes of the end credits. It features the theme used in the movie as well as motivic development and a B section. Enjoy!

In Italy we have the perfect profanities for this type of situation.

Tried multiple times to buy tickets for me and my wife, had no luck whatsoever.
When I saw tickets weren't available online anymore, I ran to the closest shop and they told me it was labeled as "availability: 0".
Still going to refresh the website every ten minutes:

This is not a DH update, but we were able to meet the maestro himself yesterday! He came to Juilliard for a conducting session where we played Superman March, theme from Jurassic Park, and Adventures on Earth. I was lucky enough to play piano/celesta, and Molly (who was in town to see his Carnegie concert the night before) was turning pages for me. So the short version is: both of us were in the room with JW and it was thrilling! And yes we did give him a flash drive with GOF, OOTP, and HBP on it.
Basically we wrote him a thank-you letter for everything his music means to us, and presented highlights from the project as a fan gift (along with the knit JW). The project content was in an envelope so we don't know what he thinks or if he's heard it but we're just happy to have expressed our appreciation in some way!

Deathly Hallows part 1 is officially on the way!!
Unfortunately, I can’t promise a release date for this one like with previous scores - but I hope to announce one within the next 6 weeks. We will of course keep you updated and are so grateful for the support, as always!
Something we DO know the launch day of (TODAY), is our brand new Patreon page!!
We’ve had many requests for additional content, and several people have asked about supporting our work financially over the past couple years. We’re happy to announce that it looks like this is possible as long as we don’t directly charge for copyrighted content so we’ve worded it pretty generically about supporting all of our compositional endeavors.
We came up with some bonus content to offer you if you subscribe as well, besides just project support. You can check it out here: patreon.com/ravendorstudios
It’s been great sharing this with you all over the past couple years and we’re excited about this next step in keeping the project going.

Yeah, there also a childish promo on the HP1 Ultimate Edition with the Hook Prologue cue. It works, of course, but I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking, what the hell?

What's unique about the DT film version is that, when the second half of the song starts, that high recorder is dialed out. Sadly, we can't replicate that, only the isolated score contains that version, so Art of the Score podcast to the rescue.
As for the source music annoying... I LOVE, LOVE the pub cue!

How was this rejected? It's exactly the same as the Balfe score.....
Britell's stuff is full of escalating fire, the anger at republicans and conservatives everywhere for how selfish they are.
Man, this is literally better than ANYTHING written in the past 20 years.....
Just to reiterate, the Don Davis stuff needs appreciation>

Same here! I remember humming that melody over and over again just so I could try and play it on the piano: when I finally made it, it was a huge deal for me haha
