Indeed, in fact I think it was confirmed that Williams specifically requested the full cue be replaced with the edited album version. Utterly maddening, but at least we got the full cue on the DCC.

What a shame Mike isn't working on a new Indy set, those scores desperately need an upgrade (supervised by someone who knows what they're doing!)

Anyone else think that Lucas doesn't get enough credit for how demented Return of the Jedi is?  Dude had a whole sequence set around a giant butthole in the middle of the desert and as a kid I was just like "Obviously."

Section D and E aren't bad. They tell you which ones have the obstructed view from the screen or structures. I myself am going to be in D on Sunday night. The trade off is closer view as opposed to more centered. It's whichever your preference is. I'd watch from the woods surrounding the Bowl if I have to, as long as we're going.

If you look closely, you can see tracking dots on Ford’s face and also on his jacket and shirt (similar to the behind-the-scenes photos of The Irishman). So this confirms that at least part of the film will have a digitally de-aged Indy.

It's nice to know that if/when we do finally get prequel expansions that AOTC and ROTS will likely have at least some degree of alternates; I always presumed those two films were much more light on the alternate/early versions compared to TPM, but that's just likely partially because most of that material hasn't surfaced in any of the video games, etc.

Finally hearing that original section of Finale from AOTC performed by the LSO is still one of the number one things I'm really looking forward to...

All the cast involved in the songs rehearsed and recorded their parts before the songs shooting. Sometimes with vocals doubles on demos, like Julie Andrews for Maggie Smith voice.  Everything had to be perfectly synchronized on the set, the demos were necessary for all the songs.

    For the Low below scene.
First, the music was supposed to be intradiegetic. That's why you have all the musicians around Smee. You clearly see them start to play when Smee leave the forge. It's very frustrating in the final cut because you see them play but it's not intradiegetic anymore.
The song is a mix of several styles of music that changes depending on the building where the action takes place with some instrumental interludes in between with dances scenes. Lyrics of the song interacting with the dialogues and interactions with the pirates on set.
You have an oriental style with the prostitutes (just after the forge). "Rap" in the barber shop, other in dentist shop, at the gallow and then in the tavern with a large dance scene with pegleg veterans pirates.
For the little detail, the baber cut Smee hair band during that scene, this is the reason why we only see Smee with a hair band in the forge first shots.

The final shots of the arrival at the Jolly Roger was reshot at the end of the main shooting in August.
Originally, there must have been a scene with slaves lost boys on the docks. These slaves lost boys were characters that had more importance in the deleted scenes with Maggie. She sing "When you're alone" later in the movie for them.

I tried to edit this cut scene with the music. You can find it here:

"Childhood" was filmed during the last days of Maggie Smith on set, at the end of the London parts filming. Leslie Bricusse mention it in one of his book.
The lyrics were not published in 1992 in this blue songbook but in 1994 in a bigger songbook: "The Leslie Bricusse Movie Songbook".

    5M5 Show Us Your Hook

As originally written, Low Below was used through the whole track instead of just the beginning; A later revision (5M5 New End) used the Stick With Me theme for the ending instead.  But the original version was never recorded; The 5M5 New End sheets replaced the original ending's sheets before recording began.

So, I've been curious about how the Oracle would have fit into the Mustafar scenes. There's actually two quite different versions of the scene in the novelizations: the Rae Carson novelization has a longer version featuring Hux and Pryde and with more dialog between the Oracle and Kylo, and Kylo wades into the pond the Oracle appears in to find the Wayfinder on some kind of island or platform in the middle.

In the junior novelization, the Oracle talks to Kylo, but he never says a word in return. The Wayfinder is instead in Vader's castle or at least the ruins of it. There's also a confrontation between Kylo and his stormtroopers and the cultists before the battle breaks out.

I'm basing this restoration on the junior novelization version, since it seems to fit better with the unused music. I believe the majority of this music is 1M15 Vader's Castle, though at least some of it is from a cue mysteriously called Ready to be a Jedi! However, I believe a different cue, 1M6 Ren's Entrance, may have scored a longer version similar to the Carson novelization.

A cracking rendition of the full Raiders March to underscore Indy's perseverance a la when he boarded the Nazi Sub.
A sweeping exotic adventure farewell theme that blends Slave Children's Crusade with Rise of Skywalker.

I'd like this one to ditch the rather dull underscore that causes KOTCS to drag. Those sorts of scenes are scored in more interesting ways in the first three films.

Along with that, naturally I'm hoping for fun, fresh themes for the MacGuffin, villains, and new characters.

Ultimately, I'd really just like to come away from the film and score with the feeling that these were crucial additions/conclusions to the series.
