LSH reacted to Jules in What Is The Last Film You Watched? (2021 films)
Nomadland was pretty great. First movie to make me cry in 2021, although the only other thing I’ve watched is Mortal Kombat.

LSH got a reaction from Bespin in What Is The Last Score You Listened To? (older scores)
Simply put... one of the best film scores ever created.
Often imitated... never bettered.
In fact, with all this retrospection, you all now know it should have won the Oscar.

So many great moments; I just need to whittle it down to a proper, flowing playlist. I've always considered the opening of the "Main Title" (before the bassline kicks in) one of the most gorgeous pieces JNH has written, he's so good at poetic, urban soundscapes.

Good haul!
I need to revisit Saving Mr. Banks, I remember some lovely stuff in that.

I just can't get enough!
Marry Poppin's Redemption, The Shawshank Redemption, Road to Perdition and 3 Passengers.

LSH got a reaction from Mr. Who in Upcoming Scoring Assignments
I wasn't too bothered about John's departure. He wrote three great scores - I was happy to see alternative takes on it musically... in the same way that the tone changed gradually throughout the series.

LSH reacted to Bilbo in What is your favorite movie from the subgenre "iconic character vs iconic character"?
That’s some list of bad films!

LSH got a reaction from Jurassic Shark in What Is The Last Score You Listened To? (older scores)
Almost. The "Music by John Williams" on the last one is too small.

LSH got a reaction from bruce marshall in SPOILER TALK: TENET (2020, Christopher Nolan)
It was so mind-numbing, I'd forgotten about it until this thread bumped. Cheers.
I hated every second of it. And I'm generally a big fan of Nolan.

Wow. I really liked it! Though I will consolidate my thoughts in the relevant location, lest the thread police turn up.

Light drama/comedy scores are not my favourite Zimmer category, but I enjoy the breeziness of them. Perfect for a Monday morning where a hangover from Saturday is still felt.

I think that if I should choose one perfect (or most perfect movie) and a score it would be that one. Simply brilliant from beginning to end and even after a hundred listenings...
