I'm super impressed with the way McCreary uses choir and voices in S2. It's really excellent. And as someone who loves a good choir, this is just phenomenal stuff.

Born On The Fourth Of July
Fantaatic performance by Tom Cruise, one of his best!
The scenes in Vietnam were incredible, so visceral and well shot. The first part after he comes home sags a bit in my opinion, but other than that it's a great film.
And I wonder if there will ever come a day that I'm not going to be amazed by John Williams' craft. The solo trumpet theme in this sounds so simple, but it's just incredible how those few notes absolutely perfectly encapsulate the character in every aspect of his life. It's astonishing. Add to the the beautiful string work and the avant garde and horrific sequences for Vietnam and you have one of Williams' best dramatic score. Brilliant!

I'm so excited to hear that 12 minute opening cue!!! I believe none of that has been heard yet, so should be treat with some cool arrangements of the Sauron & Adar themes.

Do you think there is a chance to make a full theme breakdown for the season 2 albums like (and I) did for S1? Because those were really helpful to appreciate the music even more.
I'm not familiar enough yet with the newer themes, but I will try to do it myself when I've seen more of the show.

Well, then maybe this is just a mistake with one episode

Are you able to listen to the whole thing?

Oh, so as "boring" as last season then? I can't wait!
Of course these people aren't reviewing the entire season. They probably got just the first three episodes. I can understand people who would call Andor "boring" based on the original drop of three episodes... and that's some of the best Star Wars ever. Let's see if it's "boring" by the end of the season, lol.
Yavar
Empire's review mentions that they saw all episodes.

And of course it's interesting that one of the negative reviews is getting posted here first.
Empire is very positive and at this moment the season is at 80% on RT.
I still don't care what critics or others think though. I loved the first season and am positive I'm gonna enjoy the 2nd.

They're not continuing with Amazon Music exclusive release, because apparently it with S1 it didn't make people subscibe to it. So it's all releasing now on all platforms. Why only episode 2 is now on there probably has something to do with the servers or whatever.
-
Only episode 2 is available. And only on Qobuz
-
These are pretty cool.
The first one is pretty freaky.
-
I've looked back at the way things released with S1 and I'm 100% sure the albums will come out when the episodes air!
And like Knight Of Ren says, there are themes that barely have any play time on the Season album, but based on the importance of their characters, it's almost impossible that there won't be much more usage of themes like Nori's, Durin's & Khazad-Dum's, Southlands theme etc.
And I can't wait!!!
-
Oh yeah, I see about the page, I hope people go back.
S1 episodes indeed dropped earlier, so they were usually available on Fridays if I remember correctly (or that's just me, because I'm in Europe). It would be great to have them release on Thursdays now.
-
Yeah, I really love the forging theme and your breakdown is fantastic!
On another note, I read in an interview with the showrunners and based on the things they said about the battle of Eregion, the 11 minute track on the album is like 20% of the entire music that will accompany it.
The battle will take place over the span of 3 episodes. Which I think is pretty cool. Which means there's plenty of music to come!!!! Only 2 days (or 3 if the albums release on Friday) till more music.

Only Murders In The Building: Season 4 - Episode 1 x Once Upon A Time In The West
Really great opening episode I thought. I was happy they adressed some moments ftom Season 3, to sort of bridge the gap. And it's just so nice to be in the company of these characters again.
Thought all the stuff in Hollywood was really great. Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy & Zach Galifianakis were all funny. Liked how Mabel didn't just agree but took a bit of time to decide.
I'm pretty sure Oliver was almost proposing to Loretta, which I hope happens, they're a great couple.
Then the whole thing with Sazz is becoming a really great set up for tge rest of tge season. The final few moments of the episode were fantastic. I loved how the dog came in to play, as were Saz' photos of her broken bones. Seeing Charles hold the replacements, because they didn't burn away, then looking up and Oliver & Mabel was really really sad. He looked so helpless. Great perfomance by Steve Martin.
Cool to see that the killer this times feels like a real threat and that it has become very personal now. Ups the stakes in a way I really enjoy.
Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Oh, and I thought it was great that at the party the pianist was the composer of the show, Siddhartha Khosla.

Season 1 recap for those interested

Trailer for the Christopher Reeve documentary
-
True, but then it's even worse that it flopping, because no one has any interest in it
-
And in the meantime the original has become a cult classic and many people were pretty pissed when they remade it.
-
Is that one really a surprise?

Golden Leaves is 100% a theme for Gil-galad. It's used beautifully in The Last Hope For All Middle-Earth
