Am I the only one who feels that it's a part of the Rings theme?
Sounds very much like the forging material, especially when part of the theme plays over it at points.

Am I correct in thinking that the episode 5 album is the first episodic album that's chronological?
I believe there are also less unused moments of music.

New adaption of a Stephen King novel, Salem's Lot.
Looks pretty good with a great cast.
Was first supposed to be released in theatres, but after a lot delayes it's now gonna be on Max.

These look the the character posters, and it seems like each of them is from a different episode or something like that.

Whoa, and one's definitely not coming? That's a big surprise since S1 got two!
Yavar
I honestly don't know. I once asked about it, but never got an answer. I might try again soon.

I'm also still angry we don't have a release for S2 of Masters Of The Universe!!!

With episode 5 it was the first time I noticed a theme being used there. In this Galadriel's.

It's a really fun score. The synths are great!!! I really like the first of the two songs and the album is exactly the right lenght.

Same. Why is Newman suddenly doing all these thriller projects. It's like he doesn't want to do other stuff where he gets to write more broader music. Really miss that Newman. Elemental showed a bit of that, but it still wasn't like he did back in the day.

Maybe yes.
Maybe it's like a "battle" version of the theme. The percussion in the cue reminds me of the action in "Last Temptation" from the season album.

Does the whole track play in the episode, then most of it is repeated as the end credits? Or is only the first 16 seconds in the episode, and the rest was written for the end credits?
The first 16 seconds plays over the cliffhanger of the episode, the rest of the cue is written for the end credits.

I guess they'll be using another piece of existing underscore for end credits music for this episode, since the remaining season 2 concert arrangements (Stoors, Estrid, Eregion, and Damrod) are for themes that aren't in this episode.
"Sauron's Design" is the end credits piece!!!
From 0:16 till the end.
Music in context was spectacular this episode! The whole episode is probably my favorite of the entire season. Lot's of interesting things happened and great setup for what's to come in the final 3 episodes.
"Deceit In The Craft" is such a fantastic cue. There is a small break before the Galadriel statement at the end in the episode, but the rest of the cue plays as one for 9 minutes straight. It's really well done on McCreary's part, how he works with all the different themes etc.

The score in film really doesn't warrant a score release - and I
This is true of many scores these days, but almost everything, even 14 minute scores gets released these days.
So I am wondering if there is anything else going on.

Halbrand says to Adar if he remembers him and all we see is that Adar gives a bit of a confused look.
He might've figured it out after Sauron in his Halbrand form was at Mordor in Ep. 1 of this season.

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Tallies $41.5 Million Opening Day — Second Biggest Ever for September
Quote“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” jumped in the line and earned $41.5 million from 4,575 locations across Friday and preview screenings. That’s the second-biggest opening day ever for a September release, only falling behind 2017’s “It” ($50.425 million). It’s also the biggest-ever for director Tim Burton‘s career, landing ahead of the $40.8 million opening day of “Alice in Wonderland” back in 2010.
That is fantastic! After a long career (with ups and downs) to have such a big hit with the thing that put you on the map more than 30 years ago. Incredible!

I think there are a couple scenes that maybe could've had score replaced by a song.
For example, the introduction of Monica Belluci's character, Astrid riding through town and there was another, but I can't remember it at the moment.
But there were also scenes that were made for songs, like MacArthur Park 100% was meant to be in there, because the whole sequence is based around it.

This is great!

The Perfect Couple - Ruoeet Gregson-Williams
A decent modern thriller score. There is a main theme which Gregson-Williams uses exstensively throughout the series, although it won't remain in the memeory for long. It's all very undemanding stuff. On album it's really just okay, but in context the score works great.
I do hope Gregson-Williams gets to do something more in the future though than these thriller type scores.

What I find most noticable and interesting is that one of the biggest differences between the original and the sequel is the way music is used.
In the original Elfman's score truly is it's own character in the film. It elevates so many moments and is very prominent.
In the sequel the biggest musical moments are songs. The score takes a back seat for most of the film, while a few songs are used for big and important scenes.
Does this maybe has to do with the way audiences watch films these days? Or that scores maybe serve a different kind of purpose these days to a lot of people?
Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Well, the characters feature a lot less in this season, especially Galadriel.
