  1. Yeah, I don't really care about these movies but I'll listen to the OST as soon as it drops.
  2. Spielberg's dad lived until the age of 103? 😱
  3. I'd give an opportunity to a supremely talented composer that unfortunately seems forgotten by Hollywood. People like Joe Kraemer, Don Davis, Christopher Young, Debbie Wiseman, etc.
  4. I watched some of these early 2000s thrillers as a child and I really liked them. Minority Report, I Robot and A.I. left a big impression in me, the latter two probably are the reason I love the "machines uprising against humans" subgenre. Then there was also the trashier ones, like the Schwarzenegger film The Sixth Day (very bad, but still pretty funny) and that film where Jet Li fights an evil version of himself from a parallel universe - even as a child I know this one was crap. Weirdly I never watched Paycheck in those days. Guess I didn't rent its DVD or something.
  5. Gollum's Song from TTT is the worst of the trilogy. It's far behind Into the West and specially Enya's May It Be.
  6. 17 votes and now Everything I Do is tied with My Heart, but both are vote behind Now We Are Free. This has been quite an interesting poll! I was sure the Celine Dion song would win in a landslide.
  7. I love Braveheart, it used to be one of my favorite Horner scores. I listened to it a lot, so I don't think it has the same impact on me. But I still like it regardless.
  8. I'd love an expanded edition for James Horner's Avatar, but it was recorded in California in 2008/09, so I don't see it happening soon. So yeah, it's not just Williams.
  9. Free Guy Better (and funnier) than I expected. It's one of the best from the subgenre "main character lives in an imagination world created by humans", slightly below The Lego Movie and the first Wreck-It Ralph but better than Ready Player One and the Ralph sequel.
  10. The Devil's Advocate A mix between John Grisham and demonic horror movies that doesn't quite live up to the interesting premise. It tries to be a little like Rosemary's Baby by bringing satanic lore to a urban setting, but unfortunately it's not as creepy as the 60s movie was. JNH's score was pretty good, a mix between his 90s thriller music (like The Fugitive) and Christopher Young-like horror.
  11. Which one of these iconic movie songs is the best (or the most tolerable)? I personally prefer Adams' song, followed by Gerrard's. All three of them are super corny anyway. What is your favorite?
  12. That's exactly my plan. Indeed, Crimes of Grindelwald should've been a 2 disc album. The OST has a pretty good listening experience, but there's some unreleased cues I'd like to hear one day.
  13. Maybe Disney is trying to move away from Willams, considering he won't live forever and they intend to keep producing Star Wars stuff.
  14. I think I'd appreciate the score for TDK more if it didn't re-used so much themes and material from Batman Begins. The score can be reduced to Zimmer's Joker theme + Zimmer's (?) new Batman material (Like a Dog Chasing Cars) + JNH's Harvey Dent music + action and suspense music from Batman Begins.
  15. Maybe change the name of the poll to "Favorite composers who made their big breakthrough in commercial Hollywood cinema after the late 90s"?
  16. Powell, Desplat and Gia, with McCreary following close. Indeed, PD is a wonderful score. One of the best for a TV show from the last decade.
  17. Same. My favorite era for Zimmer is from 1998 (with The Thin Red Line and Prince of Egypt) until 2007 with Pirates 3. From 2008 onwards, I like stuff like Interstellar and WW84, and maybe parts of The Lone Ranger. I think it was the influence of Nolan and later Snyder and Villeneuve who have made his later scores less enjoyable.
  18. I hope they don't delay the premiere of the fourth season to 2023.
  19. I miss these kind of scores from Wallfisch. These days he only writes forgettable scores for superheroes and horror movies.
  20. It was recorded in LA, so I don't know if the fees would be too high for an expansion. But yeah, it's a great score.
