What is the most you have ever paid for a single CD?

If I had to guess, I'd say Spacecamp. I saw one go for that on eBay once. -

I want to know what the $300+ CD was. With the few exceptions I mentioned, that's typically my strategy as well. -
I just bought the CD for Richard Harvey's Fantasia (no relation to the Disney Fantasia) for $50 on eBay. That's the most I have ever spent on a CD and hopefully the most I ever will. I only paid that much because I've been hunting it for way too many years, and this is the first time I've ever seen it show up. That, and of course it is pretty awesome music. I also managed to track down Fantasia 2 a couple months ago, but I only paid $20 for that one. So how about it? What's the most you've ever paid for a single CD, and why'd you do it?

I could be wrong, but the impression I've always gotten from it was that it just represents America at war in general. In other words it would encompass all the wars that America has become involved in.
-
Really? I've only seen half of it once a long time ago, and I could have sworn I saw Germans walking around with lugers... Oh well. Scratch that one then. The basic point still applies.

It occurred to me recently that John Williams has worked on a ton of projects about or related to World War II. He would have been seven years old when it started and thirteen when it ended, so it obviously would have made quite an impression on him as a child. Since the very beginning of his career 1976, there has not been more than a six five year span where he hasn't done something on the subject. 1956 - South Pacific (Piano Performer) 1961 - The Guns of Navarone (Additional Orchestration) 1965 - None But the Brave 1971 - Fiddler on the Roof (Score Adaptation) 1976 - Midway 1979 - 1941 1981 - Raiders of the Lost Ark 1985 - Amazing Stories - "The Mission" 1987 - Empire of the Sun 1989 - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1993 - Schindler's List 1998 - Saving Private Ryan 1999 - American Journey - "The Country at War" 2005 - Memoirs of a Geisha 2008 - A Timeless Call Have I missed any? Edit: Apparently I was confused. It seems that Fiddler on the Roof is not set during WWII, so scratch that one.

New details on Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. -
"It belongs in a museum!"

Clicking "play" right now.

Hmm, that's a very, um, interesting cover. Congrats, though! I'll have to get that soon.
-
He has done some, hasn't he? I know that he's done Schindler's List at least.

I would love to see this, but from what I can tell it is only over near California. Doesn't do me much good.

Not even a question for me. 90s hands down. Reason? TNG.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qv-Z-nSipJY It's from about 4:42 to 6:28. Is this available anywhere in a better recording without the voice over?
-
Not bad. Kind of reminds me of Allegro from BSG season 2 though.
-
Batman, Spiderman, and Transformers were all awesome!
-
Lol. Shows how much I know about it. Here I was thinking it was a Quentin Tarantino film.
-
It's a sequel? What's it a sequel to?

Best lead peformance by a boy actor in a Spielberg film?

Christian Bale by far. -
Okay, I did some more researching on the legality of sites such as mp3sale.ru. They use a special licensing system known as ROMS (Russian Organization for Multimedia and Digital Systems). If it were a US site, it would not be legal, but being based out of Russia, it is indeed perfectly legal. The music industry hates it, of course, but they legally can't do anything about it because it is completely legit. They actually tried a while ago to bring a suit against allofmp3.com, a similar site, but failed. Some other sites that use the same license include the following: http://www.gomusicnow.com/ http://www.lavamus.com/ http://www.legalsounds.com/ http://www.mp3fiesta.com/ http://www.mp3stor.com/ http://www.mp3va.com/ http://www.myzuka.ru/ http://www.soundike.com/

My point is that they have a hard enough time convicting someone who knowingly and deliberately downloaded illegal music. There's no way they would be able to convict someone who believes they purchased the music legitimately and has the PayPal transaction to back up their belief.
-
Well, I have wondered about that, but since I can't find actually find a concrete reason that it should be illegal (just the ridiculously awesome prices), I don't have a problem with it. Besides, I'd like to see the RIAA try to prosecute someone for illegally buying music.
-
This is for mp3s rather than CDs, but the prices are unbeatable. They have some rare stuff too. (And yes you can buy from them in America.) http://www.mp3sale.ru/
