  1. I've been trying to find something like that for a while as well.
  2. It nothing particularly fancy, but it's a fun score to listen to.
  3. I haven't heard much of his work, but I like his score for Over the Hedge.
  4. I gave it a B+ It is a lot better than the second, but still not quite as good as the first. I especially like the "Up is Down" track.
  5. Duel of the Fates is likely on that list of "stock favorites" however. Although I wouldn't expect it with choir.
  6. It's a good piece yes, but hardly THAT good. This is the only piece that, no matter how many times I've listened to it, always sends chills down my spine. It is so emotionally moving. I really just feel like I'm flying every time I listen to it.
  7. I believe it is a bassoon. Amen. Easily one of Williams' best pieces, if not his best.
  8. Unfortunately, my entire immediate family hates wide-screen. They do know that full-screen is losing half of the movie, they just don't care. *sigh*
  9. It doesn't really matter to me what genre of movie it is, I will pretty much always want it as wide as it comes. (as long as I've got a big enough screen of course)
  10. As Pontiac says: "Wider is better."
  11. Well, Elfman composed the Simpon's Theme so it's probably intentional.
  12. It's a store. I'm not sure if there are any of them outside of America though. Thanks!
  13. You know, the piece of music played in the "perfect" commercials. (as well as a couple other Walgreen's commercials)
  14. I wouldn't say that. There are plenty of films that I would never watch if it were not for the good scores. But I endure the movie for the sake of the music.
  15. There is a piece used in a lot of Walgreen's advertisements that is really good. It sounds to me like something by Elfman. Does anyone know if that is correct? Also, does anyone know how I might be able to get a copy of it?
  16. So it looks like it's going to be Superman Returns, immediately followed by Goblet of fire, then Jurassic park III.
  17. How could you not like Across the Stars? As far as my poll, it's between Superman Returns and The Goblet of Fire for me, but with Superman just a little ahead.
  18. There are a bunch of movies which Williams composed the music for the first few, but not some of the sequels. Out of those sequels, which do you think has the best score? (Judging only on the music without taking into consideration whether the movie itself was any good.)
  19. So... those are Kingons, huh? Sure don't look like Klingons to me.
  20. Wrong. If you can hear it, you can download it. If nothing else, just record it with Audacity.
  21. I just saw it. I have some positive and negative feelings about it. First off, I thought it was too rushed. They tried to fit too many things into one movie and it made it feel kind of like a long flashback rather than a currently happening event. Secondly, the temp tracking was REALLY annoying. There was one part in particular (right as spiderman first lands on the taxi near the end) that sounded horrible, as they just cut off the main theme halfway though a note. Other than those two objections, however, the overall story was really good. Besides the rushed feel, they were able to pull off the plot pretty well. Also, the new music (what very little of it there was) was pretty good. And I love how all the spiderman movies keep reinforcing good morals. Particularly forgiveness, and doing the right thing no matter what it costs. There's so much garbage and negative messages being put forth in movies anymore that it's really refreshing to see something like that.
