The score would have to be done by Hans Zimmer. Seriously though, probably Alan Silvestri. Not sure about an actor.
-
Wow. Ok dude, repeat after me: "It's just a movie, it's just a movie." If you don't like the title "A New Hope" and you don't like the prequels, fine. I do. Get over it.
-
Nor do you have any reason to not simply believe him.
-
Yeah, Jedi has Sail Barge, Luke and Leia, Endor, Forest Battle, Victory Celebration, etc.
-
Alright, I'll give it Princess Leia, but that's still 2 to 5 notable pieces (IMHO).
-
Well, you're entitled to your opinions, but I don't find any of those pieces to be as good as the ones I listed for ESB. Don't get me wrong, the ones in ANH are good, just not as good. And if you're offended by me saying "A New Hope," get over it. It makes life A LOT simpler since all of the movies are Star Wars.
-
Are you kidding? ESB has the Imperial March, the Battle of Hoth, the Asteroid Theme, Yoda's Theme, Han Solo and the Princes, etc. (no particular order there). The only piece of particular note in a New Hope only is the Main Theme.

So... language did that, huh? And here I thought it was just the depravity of mankind, and our diminishing sense of morals.
-
Um, dude, look at the first entry. Remember that only one movie per series is allowed.
-
You're right, he should be a notch or two higher.

That's a pretty good list. I'm glad they included Gladiator in there. At least someone isn't afraid to say that it's an awesome score despite being MV.

Sounds like a bit of a waste actually. Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for them, as I love Star Trek, but think about how much money was spent to send ashes (just the charred remains of a lifeless body) into space, and how many better things there are that the money could have been spent on. Personally, when I die, my family can throw me in a duffel bag, and throw that bag in a hole. Save the money, I certainly won't care at that point. Edit: I actually read the story now, and saw that it wasn't really all that much money after all, so never mind. [/rant]

Call me a moron (I just realized something)

Actually, you know, I can't say that I've ever contemplated this before. I did know that the tune was written by Mozart though. -
So what's Spider-Man 3 gonna be like?
ChuckM replied to Unlucky Bastard's topic in General Discussion
I think it's going to be pretty stinkin' awesome. I can't wait to see it. I just hope that Young does justice to Elfman's themes. (Or whoever it is that is doing it, if not Young) -
Thanks! Well, Sitesled is down again. It seems to be on at around 12:00 PM ~ 10:00 AM and off the rest of the time. So, try during those times if you want to grab it. Although I'm really hoping that Sitesled will just come fully back online soon.
-
All right. Sitesled is finally back up, and the version of the piece with the better ending has been uploaded. The same link still works to download it.
-
Awesome suggestion Goldsmithfan! that worked MUCH better than Imperial March. I'll upload the results as soon as Sitesled (my webhoster) comes back online, as it would seem to not be on right now. So now the pieces used are: (From Episode II OST): Bounty Hunter's Pursuit (last half) (From Episode I Ultimate Edition): Queen Amidala Warns The Federation (last few seconds) The Droid Invasion (nearly all) The Giant Squid And The Attack On Theed (last half) Activate The Droids (nearly all) (From Episode I OST): The Sith spacecraft and The Droid Battle (last few seconds) The piece comes to exactly 2:40. Hopefully Sitesled will be back online soon. If anyone is real desperate to have it now, PM me your email, otherwise you'll just have to wait a little.
-
Good idea. That very well may work. I've got to run to class right now, but I'll give that a shot later when I get back.
-
Don't you think it would sound a little odd if it wasn't from Star Wars? Possibly, but it's not like I want a whole other section to end the piece with. I just need a two to four note section to end it with a bang.
-
I used the officially released version. The one with a blue Darth Maul on the cover. But sure, I'll take a link to your version.
-
I had been trying that, but the problem is that it just sort of fades out instead of having a more dramatic ending. BTW, I don't particularly care if the piece to use the ending from is Star Wars. It just has to be John Williams (and hopefully fit a little better than the current ending).
-
Thanks to a suggestion by King Mark, I added a better beginning (from Bounty Hunter's Pursuit). (The original link now leads to the new version, so you can just re-download it.) Now I just need a better ending. Any ideas? Anyone?
-
Thanks! I think I sent it to everyone who asked, but if I somehow missed someone, be sure to remind me. richuk: I tried to PM you but your inbox is full. Let me know when you empty something out.

One of the best cues (IMHO) in the Star Wars Prequels is the "Droid Theme." Unfortunately, it never really appears as a full piece, but as 45~60 second segments. So, I made my own piece out of those segments. The Primary pieces used were: The Droid Invasion, The Giant Squid And The Attack On Theed, and Activate The Droids. I also used a little from the end of Queen Amidala Warns The Federation. (Those are all from the Episode I two-disc full score). Then, for the ending, I used the Imperial March (from Episode V). Anywho, PM me for the link. I should mention, the Ending currently sounds really awkward, and if anyone has a suggestion for a better piece than Imperial March to borrow the ending from, please share. Any ideas are welcome.
