  1. You mean McNeely? Speaking of McNeely, one of my professors this semester is named Brian McNeely. I wonder what the chance is that there's a relation.
  2. Joel McNeely worked on AF1? Interesting. I didn't know that.
  3. Ah, I see. I knew that Tyler was involved as well as Goldsmith, but I had always figured that it was one of those deals where one guy composes a large portion of the music and another guy is officially credited for it. (like the Zimmer/Badelt thing in POTC)
  4. I haven't heard the soundtrack to Timeline yet, but I remember absolutely loving it in the movie. Didn't sound to synthy at all IMO.
  5. Great OST. I especially like the track "Jim's New Life."
  6. I especially hate it when 50% or more of the soundtrack is just pop songs.
  7. Really? That's about the only Zimmer score I don't like. It's pretty much all rock.
  8. I don't know anything about proper singing techniques, so I won't try to give any, but definitely go for it. Should be a good choice.
  9. The Crimson Tide score is amazing. One Zimmer's best without a doubt. My only complaint is that the tracks are a little long.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised. I've heard that a different JW concert once sold out in five hours.
  11. Personally, I thought that shark tale was a lot funnier than finding nemo, but to each his own.
  12. Yeah, I kind of thought that V for Vendetta had a bit to much of a political agenda to really be all that enjoyable. I LOVED Dario Marianelli's score for it though.
  13. About the only thing of his that I've heard is The Hunt For Red October, but I loved that.
  14. I thought that The Illusionist was pretty good. Plus it had a great score by Philip Glass.
  15. The only time I get annoyed with stuff like that is when there's a bunch of pop songs on there. (space which could have been filled with more of the score instead) But other than that, the more of the CD used the better, IMO.
  16. That, and the whole wave of political "correctness". Brokeback won in nearly every category for pretty much no reason other than the fact that it is gay (in more than one meaning of the word).
  17. hmm, apparently my link was removed. Sorry, didn't realize that violated any rules.
  18. I haven't heard the whole thing yet, but you can hear a piece from it on http://callofduty.com/ Very cool IMO.
  19. Personally, I've always liked the theory that in the Garden Of Eden there were only the "big" cats. Lions, Tigers, etc. After Adam and Eve sinned and ate the fruit, God gave us house cats as part of the curse.
  20. Whereas I'm completely obsessed with DeLoreans. And I use this same screen-name everywhere, not just here.
