I also thought about a subscription. But then i let it be. And then i had luck on the general sale to get a second row ticket in the middle of Block A.  The middle area of Block A at the Berlin philharmonic starts with the second row. So it is like a first row ticket.

The Flugelhorn verison is quite different from the version on disc 1. It's played much more freely and with a more jazzy feel. There is also an alternate version of the flugelhorn version on disc 2, which is again a bit different. I think Williams gave the players a bit of freedom to improvise. At least the solos are different.

After two weeks of listening to this I have to say this is a real masterpiece. The film score recording is a real treasure. Such a great score with so many surprises and interesting musical monents! Best release in a long time, at least for my personal taste.

Jedi Steps and Finale from the Force awakens has a very prominent force theme included, with a horn solo. 

I hope he conducts a more interesting progamm than in Boston and LA this year... Really.
