Yes, the box would not fit into the box. It would be a replacement.
And I just checked it. You would have one or two milimeter additional space in the box. So what?
If I put in the DCC album of Raiders instead of the concord edition, it might even fit exactly.

But anyway, I would not even pay five dollars to ask them to send an empty cardboard box around the world.
There is a near point where this collecting hobby becomes silly and slightly embarrasing. This box stands for a lot of that.

I just thought about posting the idea at DME to offer the empty cardboard box as well for two dollars, so fans can purchase it to merge their Concorde CDs or other Indy score albums with their already purchased Dial of Destiny CD.

Not that the box is so great. But it would make the absurdity of the current offering at that price even more obvious.

No. He would be fine with a 2-disk set. 1 disk the OST, another one with the songs.

To be fair, the first three are not the OSTs but the Concord expansions.
But 150$ would be the price for five remastered double albums including full score plus concert suites and alternates.

Maybe moder music fans believe that normal CDs used to cost that much.

Still, this is just selling old existing editions with a cardboard box around it. 50$ would be an appropriate price for that box. People overseas will have to pay probably double the price anyway.

But 150$ is just greedy and unethical. Shame on Disney. Really.

Right. No contradiction to what I said. Still my point is valid. The monetary difference between buying just the first four and all five is 110$. Makes 110$ for disk no. 5.

No, I didn't forget those. I said, the other 4 disks are still available at amazon for 10$ each for those who are interested. So, if I just want the first four, then I pay 40$. And when I want all five I can pay additional 110$ and get the box.

The single concord disks are still available for about 10$. So, basically Disney now asks people to pay 110$ for Dial of Destiny.
And don't mention the wrapping cardboard box. That's worth about 50cts.

Question: I know, we have some (filmmusic) journalists on board here. Arendt these terrible release politics of DME worth an article? Or does nobody in your business dare to mess with the Mouse?

I mean, A.I. is such a great release especially because it doesn't just plug the OST to it as a third disk.
My favourite Williams expansions are probably A.I. and Minority Report, besides the C&C program having a well curated bonus program of alternates, OST mixes and "source cues" like Dr. Know or the advert music where they belong, in the bonus section.

Despite all the complaints here and my personal judgment on the movie itself, the score really shines in the movie. It really was a joy for me experiencing it watching the film. It is some time ago that I felt that way in the cinema. Probably at watching The Force Awakens?

Well, i'm gonna eat my words that i said earlier that the complete score wouldn't completely change my opinion on this score.

I love it even more now with all the gaps filled with the missing bits.

That said, i still think the OST presentation is a perfect presentation of the score, although the inclusion of Pulse of the City would have made it more perfect.

What about the source music at the auction, was that original material not on the isolated track?  I love that stuff in my complete playlists.

Every once in a rare while I’ll reorder something (like the Elfman expansions that are OST+bonus tracks) into chronological order for a single listen, but otherwise I leave albums untouched and play them in order, stopping at the beginning of the bonus section.  Making personal individual album playlists seems like a lot of work I don’t want to do!
