  1. @QuartalHarmony I’m always open to more!!! So thanks. I actually had the same idea (great minds and all) and started to update my working copy on the 23rd with this same info since I finally got my copy and have started going through it. (What a great release) So it’s all coming in the next update! Thanks again and by all means point things out here!
  2. These episodes from @TownerFan and @mahler3 with Mike M are becoming something I look forward to and get excited for ALMOST as much as the releases themselves they are just that much of a treat. It's gotten to the point that I download each episode and save it along with the score in the collection.
  3. Holidays Postal service is always an interesting time! Candapost told me this morning that the package was with customs and the US postal service sent me a message 20 minutes ago that it was delivered.... Turns out the US was right it was in my mailbox. Hilarious that it took the US postal service to tell me that Canadapost had delivered the set.... Now to ripping and reading!!!
  4. UGH... these two scores are ACHINGLY beautiful!!! Darn you exchange rate! (and the fact I just bought Hook among others from La La) Alas, this may be one of those be happy with what you have moments where I will just have to cherish the first Quartet Heidi and La La Land Jane Eyre that I'm already extremely lucky to have on my shelf.
  5. I hear ya! The blue box book was quite the undertaking to get converted to digital text. So far one of the best OCR solutions I’ve used is on Apple devices using an iPhone to capture hi res images and iPhoto OCR to pull the text and then correct.
  6. Of course! I not only read them I digitize them (visual and text) for my digital collection so I can review/read them from anywhere. Then I comb through them for any timeline info
  7. AHHH!!!!!!! OK breath, whoa....... Hook in Matessino's hands! Cannot wait for this and yes we need every detail from everyone involved PRONTO!!! LOL And of course ORDERED 10 seconds after I woke up checked my phone and saw this!
  8. IT was indeed very much a typo as the notes clearly say "Today, few people remember much about Checkmate, but those who do recall the show do so in large part because of its music--not the actual episode scores, but rather a soundtrack album released by Columbia Records on February 13, 1961." And my brain fowled it and made it 1960 This WILL be corrected Thanks guys! Also for the recording dates the notes have them as 1960/11/17 1960/12/01 1960/12/09 I will add them as well.
  9. So I guess on Raiders, it's probably safe to assume it's the shorter Concord/OST edit of the Desert Chase vs the DCC release as well then.
  10. That is an awesome message @Mr. Hooper and something I'm sure you will hold on to for many many years to come! I did something similar with a younger friend of mine with my Superman OST when the Rhino version came out... I didn't get the cool note but the guy still has it and it's in a place of honor on his shelf... It's always fun to share the love of JW music.
  11. @Yavar Moradi & @Thor Are we talking the 2006 talk in like 7 parts with USC Thornton? (screenshot below)
  12. Well this could change my mind on whether I wait for a 5 film version for my planned Indy upgrade... hmmm...
  13. @thx99 AH I see it now! MusicBrainz does seem to have the one that matches the pattern of the one you posted as well as the credit you mention. https://ia800309.us.archive.org/16/items/mbid-c94dafaa-19b9-48a7-9ae9-cdef33a2f832/mbid-c94dafaa-19b9-48a7-9ae9-cdef33a2f832-4895146357.jpg
  14. @Tydirium @thx99 Album Art Exchange has it at 1000x1000 - you can find it here (you need an account to get it) I've also attached it here (the forum compresses the preview but should link to the full version) Maybe this isn't the version you are looking for?? Music Brainz also has scans here
  15. So what your sayin @Bespin is that it's a third option I hadn't even considered... got it
  16. This does seem to be a pretty good overview of his career and I guess I should hold off making judgement until the pricing is out but I can't imagine this is going to be a bargain basement price so... I do wonder who this is for? If it's for the hardcore fan... well, like has been said we have the vast majority of this available already so it must not be for us. Think when the Elfman music box came out there was loads of stuff for us to discover in there (with a price tag to match) Is it for the new fan? If so, will it be priced to the point where it could be a barrier for them? I always used to recomend the WIlliams Greatest hits 1969-1999 to people to start with as a sampler, this is more like a buffet. Another thing, it seems some stuff is kind of put on discs either in themes or where it would fit and it's not like you are getting 20 discs 20 scores so you can just pull Hook of the shelf for instance. It's like its a giant compilation that we need to navigate through to find anything. So far we can say: Pros Looks to be a decent overview including newish and old Includes some pieces that aren't Super easy to get on disc Cons Seems to be somewhat mushed together (May be remedied by packaging) Though it has representations of scores it's not the full OST's making those still a necessity Probably going to be pricey (speculation) Maybe I'm being too hard on it but I'm not sure I'm following the logic on why it exists yet... that said, I do want to know more!
  17. Hey @rough cut, @Ricard Sometimes if you use Safari incognito and the reader view you can get the article text. Article is in Spoiler block below
  18. Looks like Bear won’t be the only composer this time around? Hopefully it will still be as awesome. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0MJd33uq5pEoVadBWx16PNoX4kVPCteNH4rh3jGuTaG1EbweGnPmLe8YVUs2vxt3Cl&id=100064537186281&mibextid=qC1gEa
  19. PLEASE let there be a CD release for this show too! I've listened to the last two probably more than any score in a LONG time!
  20. I was going to say the same thing! Full circle indeed... Now can history repeat itself and his next project be...???
  21. @Miguel Andrade That makes total sense now! Thanks. By the way I knew you would be one of the ones who would have this figured out to which episode in about 0.3 seconds.
  22. Ok, trying to not get excited but if Mike Matessino is excited about something... I can't help it.
