QuartalHarmony got a reaction from mahler3 in Did you get the Dial of Destiny soundtrack on the CD format before it sold out?
So that’s how the marketing decisions are being made. It all suddenly makes sense.

Where have you been?

Don’t say that, they can hear you!
Honestly, have we not waited long enough for the definitive Star Wars, Indy and Hook?

Any truly comprehensive release will of course also include the OST, the 2018 remaster of the OST, the Anthology box set version, the special edition version, and a bonus album of every related concert recording including all of those dreadful synth monstrosities they tried to snow you with in the CD stores in the mid 1990s.

If they’re concerned about lack of profit from physical releases, how does only pressing 1400 copies maximise their profit?
Surely either you don’t do a physical release at all, or you press a darn sight more than 1400 - even the boutique labels don’t do that few.
I can only assume DME is making their marketing decisions by asking a stunned rabbit what it thinks is a good idea. Or maybe using an ouija board. Or rolling a dice. Any other theories?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a CD release so poorly handled. Thank goodness I’m not looking to buy this one.
It sure makes for an entertaining thread though! I’ve ridden the highs of joy and excitement and the lows of hopelessness and despair with so many JW fans. My heart has been warmed by the comradery on display. My heart trembles for those still yet to order or have their order confirmed.
Thanks Disney for bringing us closer together and teaching us the true meaning of empathy and friendship!

Oh my God yes. Don’t wait. It’s an amazing presentation.

It could be a lot worse - in the actual film’s opening credits, the main section was sped up (probably to fit a slightly shortened credits sequence) and the pitch shift upwards is really grating - from a pretty much spot-on C major to a definitely-flat C# major.
I’m very grateful MM didn’t replicate the ‘Film Version’ that faithfully in this instance!

Are Disney also ready to foot the bill for all the claims for mental distress they’re going to receive as a result of this utterly batshit-crazy state of affairs?
There are dictatorships which are more open about their intentions than they’ve been.

...there shall, in that time, be *rumors* of things going astray, errrm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things wi - with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o'clock. Yea, it is written in the book of Cyril that...
