  1. @thx99 Have you ever considered using archive.org links instead of direct links so that these indexes can continue working beyond the present year? I know for some studios like WB with the m3u8 playlists it might not be possible, but for the ones that just use mp3s or wavs or whatever it would help to preserve them
  2. Woah! That's definitely a huge advantage of high-res audio that I've never realized before, even with 48kz audio that would have been completely unapparent. Even if you can't hear the upper frequencies you can still learn things from them!
  3. The figure in the LEGO set that released earlier this month had brown hair, so people were assuming that it would have been changed to brown for this show
  4. Finally saw this film today, didn't notice very much score in the movie, but I did think it was strange that the music section in the credits mentioned 4 different scoring studios!!! I can't imagine with how little score is actually in the movie that they really had 4 different sessions in 4 different locations, unless it combined song and score credits together under the score section; but even still why would they spread out recording like that?
  5. He is actually, just not in the same spot. His credit is in the bottom left while Sean and Deana are front and center. Why they split the additional music by credit into two different places I have no idea
  6. There were a couple spots they could have used the rebel or Rebels themes (technically the latter is a Kiner theme although it's basically a direct adaptation of Williams material)
  7. Yeah that was the only bit of music in the two episodes that stuck out to me negatively. Other than that I liked everything I heard, even if I was a little disappointed at the lack of Williams themes
  8. Yeah I noticed this too, had to pull up the thread again for the link

  11. Well actually I'm not so sure why the sequels would take that long - with the older scores at least the best quality elements have to be sought out and transfered, the performance edits may need to be recreated, which also means finding supporting documentation, and all that must be done before mastering and sequencing. With the sequels at least since they're all digital recordings anyway, most of that is irrelevant, it should really be as simple as getting sent the sessions. The most difficult part of making a sequels expansion would be sequencing; dealing with all the alternates sounds like a nightmare - but that being said I don't see the sequencing process taking years
  12. I think this is definitely wrong: The FYC is an extended/edited version of the second cue of the OST track, which would make it almost entirely 7M12A Horses #2

  14. Disney should hire whoever was responsible for uploading the FYCs for Rogue Nation and Tenet
  15. Oh I have no idea, as I said they haven't revealed much more than that they know missing episodes exist. https://missingepisodes.proboards.com/thread/14305/independent-lost-doctor-who-episodes
  16. I'm hoping they can announce the recovery of more missing episodes for the 60th. I've seen independent statements from Phil Morris and from Paul Vanezis that they both know of 4-6 eps each (not sure if these overlap) currently in the hands of private collectors that don't exist in the BBC archives. As it stands they know these episodes exist, but can't scan them because the collectors don't want them to be scanned, and they can't reveal too much info so as to not piss them off by accidentally revealing who they are.
  17. I just finished this series. My girlfriend and I have watched it over the last month or so. I really enjoyed it. Coulter was a very interesting character who started off as my least favorite, one of those really hateable villains - but she grew on me as the show went on, by season 3 she was by far my favorite character. Both the writing and the acting were fascinating. Season 1 I thought was a mixed bag, I really liked the first couple eps and the break out and the finale, but the stuff with the gyptians and the boats and Iorek went on a little too long. Season 2 I thought was fascinating, the stuff with the professor and the computer and Dust and everything was so interesting, and the confrontations with Coulter and the other guy were interesting too. I was a little confused though by the pivot to the knife macguffin and the Magisterium seemingly forgetting about the destruction of the Gobbler program (no one wanted to punish the gyptians or Lyra?). Maybe I just missed something. Season 3 I absolutely loved. It was by far my favorite season. Everything revolving Coulter's character, the Father President, the Land of the Dead, and the final battle was amazing. I do agree with some of the comments above that some things should've been explained better - specifically the Authority/box scene and the Coulter killing the Spectres scenes in the 7th episode, they were both baffling and sorely needed context. The finale I have some mixed feelings about, the story was mostly wrapped up after episode 7 - it feels to me like an epilogue was shoehorned on to make the story sad. The stuff with the professor was cool though, and the acting was really good through all the emotional scenes. I do sort of like the ending with the bench too, even if it is a bit cheesy; I just feel like Lyra/Will's forced separation wasn't necessary to the overall story or any of the themes it was trying to convey.
  18. A while ago I had a project to document all the music in the radio drama but I only finished it about halfway. I can tell you it's not in eps 2-5, but it does appear in ep 1 at 7:43. Musically it's a clean opening, although it does of course have sound effects (and dialogue later on) on top of it. There might be a better version in later episodes
  19. It would be really great if profile pictures could be displayed as they were at the time a post was made. These last two pages are going to be incomprehensible in the coming years, lol
  20. A lot of the recent Star Wars OST albums were only available for sale in 16-44.1 but then were posted as 24-48 wavs to the FYC site. I haven't checked whether those 24-48 files are real or upscaled
  21. Unfortunately I have the feeling 4k Blu-Ray will be the last ever physical home video format
  22. I used to think based on this article that 24/48 couldn't be heard at all vs a proper 16/44.1 down-conversion. I've since learned what dither actually is (random noise added to the high frequencies) and I believe that such noise should be audible since those frequencies are audible. If your 16/44.1 file was dithered it's possible that that's the difference you can hear. I would be curious to know if you could tell apart an undithered 16/44.1 file. But then again, for reasons I don't entirely understand that article above claims that the noise floor of a 16-bit file lowers with dither, so an undithered file might actually still have less dynamic range than the 24-bit file.
