  1. I'm stuck! I initially thought it might be from the opening of The Last Jedi, around 4:21, but obviously it can't be that if it's earlier than Azkaban, and it also doesn't sound quite the same. The passage shared seems incredibly Williams-y though! Back to the drawing board.
  2. Just thought I'd pop this here in case anyone here loves this cue as much as I do. For this video, I restored Arrival in New York to the picture from Home Alone 2. I did it a little differently to @Holko, so feel free to compare the merits of both interpretations.
  3. Yep - that’s why I thought it would be tricky (and a little mean.. sorry!!)
  4. Well done! I'm sorry, I wasn't awake to give you a hint! All your guesses beforehand were really good, the similarity between this and Long Grass is quite remarkable. I thought the fact that the first bar is cut out might throw some people off - if I'd shown the opening bars it would be too easy! How'd you figure it out? Great guess actually - the writing is really similar there too.
  5. I'm hoping this is a tricky one? My notation is a bit messy but I tried my best haha
  6. That's great news, very much looking forward to seeing it. I have to say this is simply an excellent thread, I come back to it very often. Many thanks to you
  7. Since this thread has come up again I figured I might as well add this - I did my own synchronisation of The Hunt for a video I posted a month or so ago - My approach was to have the main ideas in the right place - even if that meant adding in pauses and what not - rather than having a continuous sequence that doesn't quite fit. It's definitely not perfect, and there are several points that don't really work but I am definitely happy with how the car smash section turned out - I think that that is potentially more accurate. Any discussion is welcomed :))
  8. Thanks a bunch! Despite being inevitably a little rough around the edges, I think the result works really well!
  9. Amazing, amazing work! Very glad to see this on the forum. I just have one suggestion here - the sketches (and I believe something MM said in an interview? can't locate it) suggest that the ascending runs at 8:58 of this video (which recall similar ones from The Dome Opens), were meant to accompany the shot of the "starship" flying past Zod and co in the phantom zone (a shot which was moved to 10:14 of this same video). Baby's Trip to Earth seems to have been scored in the 'second half' of Williams' colossal time on the project (since it was orchestrated by Arthur Morton, who orchestrated almost all the cues in this second half), so I believe that it was scored with the change, but Kryptonquake may have been scored when that shot was still in there. Would you be willing to try and experiment by putting that shot into the Kryptonquake restoration and seeing where it takes you? That's a bunch of words but I hope that makes sense.
  10. Thanks for responding - that's a shame, but I knew this was a possibility. Riding the Lizard does begin the OST track 'General Grievous, so you're definitely right. It's a strange choice, you'd think. I don't think either of those two are the most popular cues from the OST. Perhaps Williams is fond of them, or something like that.
  11. Tricky! I don't think I've really thought of anything beyond my top 3 before. I find it really hard to rank the scores, and I think that I could put any of these 10 above any of the others on some particular day, and I'm sure next month it would be completely different. But, if I had to rank them right now: 1. Hook 2. Superman 3. Empire Strikes Back 4. A.I. Artificial Intelligence 5. E.T. 6. The Lost World: Jurassic Park 7. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 8. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 9. War of the Worlds 10. Dracula And the following complete my 15 favourites at the moment: Close Encounters of the Third Kind Angela's Ashes Jurassic Park Memoirs of a Geisha Witches of Eastwick Creating this list reminds me that after 1975, all of Williams' scores have something to like about them, so it was really hard to select a few. Thanks for organising this!
  12. Thanks so much! Most of them have links to PDF versions in the description - if they don't shoot me a message and I'm happy to send them to you. You are very welcome. I suppose you may have to go with the chord accompaniments below the runs, and add in perhaps one voice of the runs where it feels appropriate - at least that's what I would do.
  13. Here you go! Thanks for subscribing and for the kind words. As I mentioned, the formatting is very messy, but I hope that it can help you. I think that the section from bar 83 onwards may have been too difficult for a piano arrangement, and perhaps that is why it is removed. Angela's Ashes.pdf
  14. Thanks Michael! This video is actually pretty bad since it was my first one, but thank you nonetheless. I've been loving your new reduction videos too. @Petrushka1939 If you'd like a PDF file of the reduction in the video above, let me know and I can send it to you.
  15. Nice! I didn't even think of return - it's a great playlist!
  16. This is just a theory, so don't take anything I'm saying here as fact - but Mark Graham recently posted on Instagram this picture: https://www.instagram.com/p/CvdIKBiSt4Z/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA. I recognise the cue as being Riding the Lizard from Revenge of the Sith. The recent date in the bottom left seems to imply that this version of the score has been prepared recently (and that he's not just looking in the archives for fun). (Keep in mind I have no idea how the JKMS library is set up - this could mean nothing). Perhaps this part of the score is being prepared for a future concert (which seems an odd choice), or maybe even an LTP performance of Revenge of the Sith (though the formatting is a little different to other LTP scores I've seen).. Any thoughts?
