  1. That video is so outdated it’s not worth watching anymore. Also just got out of Superman. Loved the movie and I think the score works way better there than on album. The opening scene with the guitar version of the Williams theme and the text gave me chills.
  2. Yeah there’s like endless music to listen to in this series once you delve in.
  3. I thought it sounded new. Just saw the movie and am officially excited for what’s next again. My girlfriend saw it with me and she’s never seen a Marvel movie. She loved it and can’t wait for Fantastic Four next. Hopefully they keep this up reminds me of Phase 3 glory days. An Alan Silvestri score for an Avengers movie again has me so pumped.
  4. Something about a Silvestri score being in an Avengers movie makes it feel like more of an event to me. His music and style genuinely add to those kind of movies. I’m so happy he’s coming back for the next two.
  5. Then again Nolan’s never done a historical fantasy movie like this.
  6. Did not mean to start a debate on pineapple. But tequila pineapple is the best cocktail.
  7. Just got back from seeing this. Very scary film with probably the best gothic production design/tone of the modern age in a film. Orlok is terrifying and genuinely a beastly monster, a far cry from Twilight. I didn’t realize how similar the story of Nosferatu was to Dracula. It’s essentially the same movie (The Orlok in this film looks more like the real-life inspiration of Dracula than Dracula ever did). The first act with the realtor character going to Orlok’s castle was probably my personal favorite section just because of how psychedelic and personal/classic it felt. IMO Willem Dafoe as the Vampire Hunter stole the show. The score also was really enjoyable for me. The theme from “Premonintion” and its reprises are my favorite part. Also the track “Daybreak” is a powerhouse of a track with a huge orchestral climax. Overall this is going to be a new horror staple for me. Plus the film works surprisingly well for Christmas since it’s mainly in Germany and takes place during winter. Theater was packed too and it was hard to find a showing with open seats.
  8. YESSSSS. Love that they’re not afraid to embrace the classics.
  9. I guess the love theme wasn’t really original. Damn shame.
