Star Wars: Andor (2022) - released episode spoilers allowed

Forgot about coming here to give my little thoughts. I think this is up there with Rebels as probably the best in the SWU for me. The score (I know a lot of people here aren't fans of it) actually is incredible to me. Me and my mum keep putting it on while we do House Work and I find myself listening to it randomly. So SO good. Obviously, acting, writing, directing is all top notch as well. Really excited for S2. I think this show has the only time I've ever teared up at Star Wars! -

Oh yeah totally. The TIE moments in this show so far have been superb. The one in last weeks episode scared the absolute shit out of me. I really like the show overall. I'm constantly gripped in the talking scenes, really feels like its building towards the "explosion" we see in Rebels and such, which hopefully we get the other end of. I also really like the 3 act structure for each "batch". Setup Ep > bridge > explosive finale. -

Thats not why this show exists. This show exists because Lucasfilm & ILM wanted a flagship show to show off, once Tony came on this became that.

I am informed and appreciative of Star Wars music. I often have multiple hour long voice calls and discussions with people about multiple cue's but I don't have a standard because why would I.. just seems like thats setting yourself up for disappointment instead of enjoying something for what it is. That being said I do think Andor's music so far is on the higher end of it.

God the music was so amazing. To be expected though, Britell is a G. For the first time ever I got a "wow this doesn't feel star wars" moment. When the heavy drums kicked in at the end of Episode 2. I then reminded myself that "doesn't feel/sound like star wars" is the most laughable take ever and quickly readjusted myself to the proper mindset of "anything can be Star Wars as long as its good" 😌
