  1. Never heard this one but that name virtually guarantees quality!
  2. It would be nice to get a premier release of Ghost in the Shell too!
  3. Came back to the thread to also suggest Aliens but I was beaten to it!
  4. I’m hoping it shows up somewhere in the west for me to buy with cheaper shipping…
  5. This score is great, but rather bizarre. Definitely delves into textures that an average Kamen action score does not.
  6. I feel this way about many of the more famous Jarre and Bernstein scores - their biggest epics like Lawrence or Ten Commandments are thoroughly outclassed by similar scores by Rozsa or Kaper. Of course, Bernstein has great dramas and westerns and band, while I’m a big fan of Jarre’s electronic work…
  7. This is actually what I prefer, and I NEVER prefer shorter presentations! To answer this question accurately would require I force myself to listen to ET again!
  8. For me, it’s ET. Aside from the flying cues I find it unapproachable… and I am a fan of Close Encounters and War of the Worlds!
  9. I believe the LLL editions are all definitive, though I don’t own the first one.
  10. How much of an improvement over the Intrada edition would you all say this edition is?
  11. I think G2014 and Skull Island are modern masterpieces and KOTM is rather close, while GvK is a terrible movie (even if beautiful)... so this time I clearly do not agree with the audience at all.
  12. I’ve never purchased an anime OST new before, but I might get Frieren - for those who know about anime OSTs, will the CD be sold by American retailers like SAE, and will it go out of print quickly?
  13. Ironically, the 2CD version prior to BSX (with even less tracks) was released by LLL!
  14. - The Ring is a great horror score. - Jack the Bear is not a very assuming Horner score, but I do enjoy it.
  15. I’m still not a fan of GvK’s score, but this seems to be a marked improvement.
  16. It looks like the only time anything weird happened, nobody’s money was taken, so I see no cause for worry.
  17. Per the descriptions, the former is the (expanded?) release and the latter is a rerecording by Holdridge himself.
  18. Wallfisch has a number of horror scores that are far better than the majority of modern horror scores, so I’m excited for this.
